I've only recently gotten back into Magic, and I figured that EDH would be a good format to start off in, seeing as I don't have to worry about cards cycling out of the format or how my deck would do in the metagame as much as standard.
Since I'm getting back into Magic, I decided I'd get my friend into it as well. I bought a few of the Commander 2013 decks and played a decent amount of matches. I swapped out some of the cards for ones that I still have left lying around and some that I recently acquired. Oloro was my typical play style before I quit, so I favored him as a commander, but after a few games with Derevi I fell in love. The ability to manipulate the board practically at will gives me so much more satisfaction than countering or killing anything that hit the board.
Now I need some help shaping Derevi into a more focused deck, here's what I have so far.
I have already done a bit of looking at other people's ideas for Derevi, and I guess I'm going closer to lockdown/control. That being said, I was hoping I could shy away from being hyper competitive with this deck and mainly go for something fun with crazy plays.
That also being said, Oracle of Mul Daya, Venser, Shaper Savant, Reveillark, Sun Titan, and Arcanis the Omnipotent are some powerful cards that belong in the deck. Probably gonna drop Diviner Spirit in favor of Arcanis.

And focus on control with a lot more Wrath of god effects. You'll want counterspells.
