One thing to clarify, first of all: this is not a competitive deck. It does not seek to win; it seeks to not lose. Very occasionally, it will not lose until everyone else has lost.
I often describe this deck as more of an "art project" than a real deck, given its non-competitiveness and the restrictions it works under. Except for Jasmine herself, it is a creatureless deck. In addition, all of the cards in the deck existed prior to the 8th-edition frame change. I have also mostly steered clear of "weapons of mass destruction" like Wrath or Armageddon effects. Your creatures might repent of their wicked ways, follow a path of peace, or occasionally get caught up in a desert twister or a hurricane, but apart from that, they are safe from Jasmine.
As for how it plays, it is basically what I have heard described as a "pillow fort"--I play lots of artifacts and enchantments that make it difficult or unprofitable to move against me. Fog effects fill the cracks in my fort. Regrowth effects repair any damage to the pillows.
The deck is theoretically capable of winning in a couple of ways. One is general-damage beatdown with Jasmine, if by some freak of chance no one can deal with five hits from a 4/5 with no evasion. Another is a massive late-game Hurricane--a CoP: Green is helpful here for the "not-dying" part. A third is an excruciatingly slow milling process by recurring Jester's Cap to gradually strip all potential threats from the deck of an exhausted opponent. I generally start by taking out any mass enchantment or artifact removal. (This deck thrives--or perhaps survives--on the fact that my playgroup seems to undervalue artifact and enchantment destruction.) Fourth is the possibility that someone will play into Mirror Strike, Harsh Justice, or Storm Seeker in such a way that would result in their death. Not very probable, but possible.
Some key players: Sterling Grove will protect your precious enchantments, or it can find the most relevant of them for your situation. Holistic Wisdom will turn dead cards (irrelevant Circles, etc.) back into useful things. Humility is quite frustrating for decks with creatures. (i.e. probably everyone but you.) Worst-case scenario, it will soak up at least one removal spell.
All that being said, does anyone have suggestions for hidden gems I may have overlooked? The one nice thing about restricting the deck to a pre-Modern card base is that all the possible cards already exist. Forcefield would be perfect if I had that kind of money. I'm currently looking into Briar Patch, which seems like it could be "fun" with Humility...
