How Did This List Come About?
Angus MacKenzie is one of of my favorite magic cards. I'm not sure what it is about him but I've always wanted him at the helm of one of my decks. I have made a couple of lists for him in the past but none that have really held my interest. The different lists I came up with included, super friends, lifegain, and turbofog. I recently made a new list that focuses on a mix between enchantments and tokens. Enchantments are my favorite type of magic cards but I held off and using them with Angus until I came up with an idea that would feel different enough from my Hanna, Ship's Navigator list.
Why Would One Play This Deck?
-Enchantments are fun.
-Drawing cards is a lot of fun.
-It is surprisingly resilient.
-You like using tokens.
-You think playing with older generals is cool.
Why Would One NOT Play This Deck.
-Austere Command is played in every deck in your meta. (grr...)
-You want to run tons counterspells. (You can technically use a wide variety as Angus gives access to blue and white).
-You hate combo.
-You want to combo in the first 5 turns of the game.
The deck is listed by card choice with the cmc of spells listed next to them.
Lands (31) Command Tower Flooded Strand Misty Rainforest Windswept Heath Breeding Pool Temple Garden Hallowed Fountain Savannah Tundra Tropical Island Serra’s Sanctum 8 Forest 6 Island 6 Plains
Cards that I would like to include or try out include:
-A few counterspells for wraths, and enchantment hate. I was thinking maybe some combination of Swan Song, Negate, Mana Drain, Pact of Negation, and Arcane Denial. I would like to avoid running too many counterspells that require having two blue mana open on other people's turns.
-Mirri's Guile It would smooth out the draws of the deck and stays on theme.
Cards that I was considering cutting include:
-Avenger of Zendikar because it is pretty expensive and I'm running light on lands
-Rampaging Baloths because again it's higher on my curve and isn't that abusable in my list. In addition, it interacts very poorly with Elspeth, Sun's Champion
-Craterhoof Behemoth This card can make you win out of nowhere but a lot of times when it can actually be cast I have found it to be unnecessary.
Anyways, thanks for reading my new Angus list. I would appreciate any feedback or advice.
I would love to see your Angus, he sounds awesome!

Ill try to upload a picture sooner or later. I wasn't sure if I wanted to include counters or not. I didn't really want to make it controlly. Though answers are important. I don't know why I didn't include luminarch, I should be able to get it to 4 pretty consistently. Thanks for the good call there. Parallel lives is on the list already. I don't know that I really need leyline. Its always good value but I don't feel like this deck particularly wants it and I'm already having a hard time freeing up slots for edits

I go for the enchantment path. It's pretty linear but it wins.
