This is my budget Child of Alara deck. It focuses on ramping early on, playing child, getting a sacrifice engine and a recursion engine online, and then wrathing the board whenever necessary and taking control of the game. It's on a $30 budget, so no expensive cards please. Also, it's at 101 cards right now. Trying to figure out which two to cut. Any feedback is appreciated.
For an idea of how the deck might ideally play:
1. Ramp to five mana. Play child.
2. Gift of Immortality on Child, and then suspend Greater Gargadon. Congratulations, you can now wrath the board once per turn, as necessary for a good while.
3. Play Colossus of Akros. Wrath their field. Go ham with your 6/6 trample general and your 20/20 trample, right after a wipe... Every turn.
The deck is really synergistic and has multiple options for different roles, and several ways to tutor up those options. It also has several wincons. Thanks!
