My playgroup loves Nekusar. Almost half of the members have a nekusar deck each with the wheeling effect. I've decided to not go that route because i'm a hipster magic player and I've redid my nekusar deck so it is more fresh and interesting.
The goal of this deck isn't to completely shut out the opponent (but it can). This deck lives for those moments where your opponent is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Setting up is easy: ramp and lay some pillowfort and wrath when needed. Then you round out with group hug/punish cards and when you feel like the game has gone on long enough, you lay down a lock combo
Suggestions would be awesome. But no wheeling effect suggestions (it's why I changed my deck in the first place)
Most Nekusar decks i've seen don't run that many locks. They focus on wheeling. Mine is focused on...not wheeling?
Seems good. I was actually planning on cutting out some of the nonbasics like evolving wild and transguild promenade/rupture spire for more basics
Think they mean that a true hipster wouldn't play Nekusar at all if he was that popular. A true hipster would run Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer... I don't think I've EVER seen a Gwafa EDH deck.

However, have you considered Collective Restraint for adding redundancy to Propaganda effects?
