Hey all, I'm working on the MP version of my Korlash deck (1v1 version is complete) and curious what other people think. It's a "kitchen table" deck with friends whenever I see them. One has a pretty tuned Progenitus deck that goes for Commander damage, the other plays token decks (one is Krenko, I forget the other, maybe Prossh).
Korlash isn't the fastest general, and takes a few turns of mana drops to ramp up, so I decided that controlling the board to get him big would be the key strategy. The fact that I would be playing tokens and an untargetable hydra badass pushed me in the direction of big destruction; heavy on the sweepers, persistent destruction, and rattlesnake effects.
Primary win con is Korlash commander damage. I'm pretty heavy on equipment, so instead of adding a big mana package, I decided that a secondary win con of creature beatdown would be better than a handful of cards that don't synergize with the rest of the deck. It helps that a Lash can make any creature dangerous. Sorin Markov helps to facilitate beatdown, and also functions as a 1-2 punch with a suited up Korlash to KO a player out of nowhere.
I've been considering adding Grave Pact but I'm not sure I have the creature count to back it up. Obviously my creatures will die, but with no token generators or Skullclamp, I don't have a consistent way to trigger Grave Pact. Could look at adding Bitterblossom + Skullclamp, not sure if I want to do that though.
Also Yawgmoth's Will is under consideration to replay my destruction or big stuff. Not sure if it "fits" in the deck, since I have no mana doublers I probably wouldn't be able to play many spells from the GY. Any thoughts?
