So, I've recently been introduced to Remembrance and instantly realized it would be a very good card in a Shadowborn Apostle deck. Only problem is, I'm having troubles putting it together.
First off, what this deck does:
The list is designed to utilize a few cards that allow us to do two things:
1) Keep our Apostle or other creature count the same or still high after we sac them, either with their own ability or through something else. Cards that help here are
2)Find something useful to do with all the apostles. Let's face it, being able to tutor any demon into play is nice, but M:tG has only recently gotten demons that are viable in EDH. Plus, most of the best ones are in R. So, this deck will be playing only a handful of the best demons. To utilize these guys, we use other cards:
With needing so many apostles, it dilutes what else I can run. I need answers in the deck, so, what from the above do you think I should cut for more answers?
I could also use some more suggestions on what to use in the deck for win cons or just for value. I'm looking for any interaction that isn't currently covered below, be they infinite or not. Cards I'm currently considering are:
Lastly, I would like to explain some of the card choices and the interactions I've picked out in the deck.
Dark Confidant/Dark Tutelage: I'll be drawing a lot of apostles, and most of the other cards in the deck are low mana cost, so why not use them?
Edge Walker: The idea is to get him out with Remembrance and just be able to get all of my apostles out for free if I have a sac outlet.
Faith's Reward: Not only is it a solid way to bring back all of our guys, but its also a combo piece with Eternal Witness, at least 4 other guys, and Phyrexian Altar. Basically, cast her, get back Reward, sac 5 dudes, cast Reward, now you've netted one mana of any color you want. Repeat for infinite mana.
Xathrid Necromancer/Rotlung Reanimator/Teysa: Our apostles are going to die one way or another, so why not get a body out of it?
Shirei, Lifeline, Bloodbond March: Lifeline is pretty risky, but usually there's only one deck at a table who can make it nasty. Anyways, these all allow us to get even more use out of our dudes, and if they don't get killed we can do it during each players' turn with Shirei and Lifeline.
Artist/Noble: Like Teysa and her group, our apostles are going to die. These two give us a wincon with that.

Shadowborn Apostle can only be a one-of, if I'm reading this correctly: '7/1/2013: Shadowborn Apostle’s first ability lets you ignore only the “four-of” rule. It doesn’t let you ignore format legality.'

edit: Not sure about the sentence, but it looks like Relentless Rats are legal:

Very few people actually care about this in EDH. Out of the hundreds of people I've seen on these forums and played with online, I can count on one hand how many told me that I couldn't play an Apostle or Relentless Rats deck.
Prophecy is risky, but so far in my testing its been pretty solid. It has been what got me deadified in a few games, but nothing a few pieces of removal can't help stop.
Noble is expensive, but he's just in the op because I was just throwing cards together. I've already taken him out of what I was testing.
Reaper isn't exactly a great card, but he is a beefy beater and kills multiple dudes a turn cycle. Being able to be tutored straight into play means he gets a bit more useful.

I only point it out because it would mean that this goes in a casual/homebrew forum where no one pays attention to format rules. I don't know if you should apply your playgroup's house rules to the rest of the magic world, everyone in my playgroup says they automatically win and walk away in a situation like this. Just sayin'
But then again I could be wrong, and I'm a fan of casual, so do what works
That particular entry is to clarify that if it is ever banned or after it rotates out of a format it's first ability does not allow it to still be played. It is more if a common sense clause that reminds the player that even though cards can override rules this card is only actually overriding the deck building rule that limits the quantity of cards with the same English name in a given deck.

falkenrath noble is too expensive and you should just run blood artist
reaper of the abyss probably doesn't do much for you.

EDH
WBG Karador's Sepulcher GBW
harvester of souls
rune-scarred demon
mirror entity
bloodgift demon
kuro pitlord
I am running 25 shadowborns, and that honestly feels too low sometimes.
I use soul warden type cards and blood artist; then use carnival of souls with cabal archon as my win con.
also, bloodbound march is a boss in the deck; i would recommend getting an academy rector.
