So I switched from Voltron Style Dakkon Blackblade , To this fun Mono Red Ashling The Pilgrim Because my playgroup and myself are tired of playing decks with blue and playing against them. There also seems to be the misconception that mono red is bad in EDH / Commander among the people in my group.
Whenever something like this comes up I always say, max out on board-sweeping damage-dealing spells that hit players too. Earthquake, Fault Line, Jaya Ballard, Task Mage (who is just amazing with all your lifelink/deathtouch/protective equipment), Hammerfist Giant (ditto) and also Rolling Earthquake if you happen to be playing online or have one in paper (not cheap). Ashling wants everyone down to a nice low life total. And when your own spells damage you and everyone else repeatedly, Sun Droplet helps you win the long damage race.
Unlike the other two-card combos you listed, Dark Depths does essentially nothing without drawing its counterpart Thespian's Stage so I would take it out. If you want a land that makes no mana but enables vicious combos, Glacial Chasm is fantastic with Ashling, Hidetsugu, Jaya, or the other mass damage dealers.
Also not sure it is a good idea to have almost as many equipment as creatures. I would remove some of the weaker equipment for more board-controlling creatures.
You don't really have enough instants or sorceries of your own for Increasing Vengeance to be reliable (although you might if you add the board sweepers). I would replace it with Fork or Reverberate. Maybe having multiple such cards would be good especially if your opponents play big sorceries of the Boundless Realms/Decree of Pain/Rite of Replication variety.
The people i play with do have a lot of large and in charge sorcery's. Every other person plays Urborg, tomb of yawgmoth I will be cutting the increasing vengeance for burning wish and playing the ten card wish board you can have in commander. I like Hammerfist Giant and I an sure Rolling Earthquake will be judge foiled soon, they have been doing that a lot lately with portal three kingdoms. If it does i would be more inclined to buy it then. I hate white bordered cards, Some of the newer player's at my game store have an issue playing foreign cards as they have not been playing magic the gathering for as long as the other portion of the group. I will be cutting a mountain for Glacial Chasm And thank you for the suggestions PochetteRecharge.

Some fun interactions that are in the deck as of now is a ashling with protection from red or a Magebane Armor with Sword of kaldra and the obvious infinite zealous conscripts with either Splinter Twin or Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker The Heartless Hidetsugu and Loxodon Warhammer The Vesuva or Thespian Stage and Dark Depths and of course the Aggravated Assault with Sword of feast and famine
