This is a Rasputin Dreamweaver deck that I've been toying around with. It blends the strengths of Blue and White to create an artifact-friendly control deck that utilizes ETB effects, ramping into huge beatsticks. It probably reads like many typical Rasputin decks, but he's such a fun dude, and I'm lucky enough to have a copy of one that I couldn't resist building my own.
Control
I wanted to emphasize the control side of WU, since Rasputin is notorious for his influence over the Tsar. He's a very political figure, and I thought that should be reflected in the deck. As a result I run lots of enchantments that enforce rules upon my opponents. Propaganda and Ghostly Prison are obvious, then there's Karmic Justice and Aura of Silence. Opponents will have to waste a lot of removal if they want their creatures to get through and their spells to stick. The Theros God's artifacts are new, and I'm testing them out. They offer more control. I can use Thassa's Bident to force creatures to attack, then bounce them with Aetherize. I can also kill them off with Heliods Spear.
Winter Orb is a central part of this deck. I run a lot of rocks and Myr dorks to bypass the Orbs draw back. The rocks also allow me to drop an armageddon and still have mana available.
Finally, the greatest control in the deck is surviving a boardwipe - advantage comes from tricks like Ghostway into a Worldurge, or ghostway into supreme verdict.
Diluvian Primordial is a sadly underplayed EDH card, and I'm always trying to find deck to put him into. He makes an amazing blink target, turning opponent's spells against them every time he ETBs. He's another great target for our cheap blinkers. Sun Titan makes up for the majority of recursion in the deck, allowing us to get back most of our control-enchantments as well as our utility creatures.
Daxos and Thada Adel are great with Rasputin, his 7 lets me cast most things I steal from their deck.
The Myr dorks are there to support our need for ramp, as well as one of our main beaters - Myr Battlesphere. This guy is another personal favorite of mines and, much like the Primordial, I'm always looking for an excuse to throw him in a deck.
Other beaters include Aeon Chronicler who we can suspend with Rasputin's colorless mana, giving us extra draw each turn, until he ETBs as a massive beater.
The Guardian and the Colossus are two new guys I'd love to try out as well. Guardian starts as a defender, which is part of the deck's control nature, does our opponent dare attack, less they awaken the guardian?
Artifacts
small utility artifacts like Voltaic Key are there to get extra use out of our mana rocks.
The most imprtant artifact in the deck is probably Mirrorworks - this card is amazing. It can double out rocks as we cast them. Who wouldn't want 2 Gilded Lotus, or even 2 indestructible Darksteel Ingots? Mirrorworks also lets us get multiple finishers our of Battlesphere, Guardian, or Colossus. And opponents have having to find removal to deal with multiple Winter Orbs.
