I've been looking recently into expanding my Halloween deck to delve even deeper into the theme. I settled on Reaper King because not only is it extremely flavorful, but it opens up all five colors.
So first things first, when designing this deck I made sure that flavor trumps everything, including synergy and playability. I'm not opposed to either of those things obviously, but if you're going to suggest a card make sure it's fairly on theme.
Secondly, it's on a pseudo-budget (thankfully most of the deck is terrible cards anyway) so something like Vampiric Tutor or Damnation is a little out of range.
After doing some extensive Gatherer searching, here's what I've come up with so far (I chose most of these cards based on theme including but not limited to name, art or flavor text):
