This was my first Commander deck so it's probably really bad compared to my current decks and I have barely used this deck so... I don't know.
About the Deck: Glissa Sunseeker was once a famous Elf who bridged Mirrodin to green mana by creating the fifth moon. Being one of the only Mirrans without metal on her body, she became well known for being different (same thing with Melira, Sylvok Outcast). But, when the Phyrexians came to invade Mirrodin, instead of helping the Mirran Resistance, she betrayed them. She was dead of course so the Phyrexians used some Necromancer power and brought her back, on their side, stronger, zomierish, moreB. And that's why I'm using Glissa, the Traitor.
Development
So this deck started when I learned about EDH. I wasn't right after though. Also I lied in the top sentence. This was my second Commander deck. My first was some weird Merieke Ri Berit deck that was just her and good Esper cards I had. With that deck I only played 1 game, against myself (also I lost that game) with my brother's Niv-Mizzet Dracogenius that I borrowed which was built the same way I built my Merieke Ri Berit deck. Then when I actually started making good decks I decided I wanted to make a B/G Zombies deck. There were three possible commanders; Skullbriar, the Walking Grave, Glissa, the Traitor and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and I obviously chose Glissa. However, previous to that I posted a picture on a (not going to any advertising) social media site. The four original commanders were Kresh, the Bloddbraided, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, Merieke Ri Berit and Damia, Sage of Stone someone suggested I should use Glissa, the Traitor instead of Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. She also seemed like a good idea, first strike+deathtouch=:symch: (You see what I did there?).
What it does
This deck is designed to revive to destroy. I call the tactic; Revive and Conquer. #lol. But seriously, there's artifacts to revive, not much but there are, things that make zombies stronger, things that make more zombies. I'm looking at you, Endless Ranks of the Dead! Things that hate on blue, things with the name Call to the Grave and some removal. Or you can just look at the deck list and figure stuff out.
Good if: - You win
- You're playing against humans
- You like zombies
- Your like revival
- You like The Swarm:golgari:
- You like killing things
- You like having massive, destructive armies
- Any if not all your enemies are playing blue
Bad if:
- You're playing against angels and/or humans. In specific Angel of Glory's Rise
- You like the colour blue
- You never play zombies
- If you don't know what Innistrad is. Then again if you don't know what Innistrad is, you have probably only been playing for 1 month.
- If you are allies with humanity
- If all your opponents are playing control or Merieke Ri Berit
Etc.
- You don't like having hordes of zombies
- You don't like Commander
Strengths and Weaknesses against other EDH decks:
Wait, I thought we just did this.
The decks that are not listed below are likely neutral or I forgot about them.
Well, we did when it's good and when it's bad, this is what it's good against and what it's bad against. So:
Strengths:
- Mono-Blue Decks
- Human "Tribal" Decks
- Control Decks
- Creature Steal/Merieke Ri Berit Decks (for the most part)
- Mill Decks
- Creature Control
Weaknesses:
- Angel Decks
- Goblin/Aggro Decks
- Graveyard Hate, but then again who does make Graveyard Hate in Commander?
- Flying Decks
- Dragons
How to play around the weaknesses:
Angels - Angels are good against most decks anyway but to play around angels you'll definitely use Virtue's Ruin and Genocide their Angels. Also Extinction allows that to but instead of destroying just their white creatures it will destroy all their angels. If you have Grave Betrayal on the battelfield and you manage to kill one of the angels (with Doom Blade or Putrefy probably), you'll have a likely vigilant flyer who would be stronger than it's original form being able to attack into their angels and block. Even if it trades with another angel, you'll also get that angel too. Or you could just attack aggro style and have so many zombies that they can't deal with them all. Also, there's Gravity Well.
Goblins - The reason I said Goblins is because Goblins are pretty quick and aggresive while Zombies are pretty slow. But Goblins are easy to deal with because they usually only are 1/1 or something which will easily be killed by zombies and cards like Heartless Summoning will let you get your zombies on the field faster. Imagine, a Grave Titan on turn 4! So, death to Goblins
Graveyard Hate - No one uses Graveyard Hate decks in Commander.
Flying - Flyers are really annoying to Zombies. Also, the two colours with the least amount of flyers are Black and Green. So, to kill flyers you can use Vulturous Zombie which can get out of hand fast (as long as you're killing things) who's a flyer. Gravity Well, 'nuff said. If they have white flyers then you could use Stromgald Crusader (who you can use anyway) or Virtue's Ruin. If it's blue flyers you can use your blue hate (Choke and Tsunami) Liliana of the Veil can force your opponent to sacrifice their flyer or other cards like Liliana's Reaver can make them discard their flyers, preventing them doing damage before they even reach the battlefield. And of course your removal will remove them. The last option is to go aggressive and force them to block while you kill them because they're blocking.
Dragons - So this is the red flyers. It depends what they're dragons deck is going to do. My brother's Dragon Commander deck's Commander is Ryusei, the Falling Star. His deck is aggressive and does tons of damage to ground creatures. In that case, just try to get as much damage in as you can before your opponent uses the spell and try not to kill Ryusei, the Falling Star. If they like breathing out fire, there's Pack's Disdain or Extinction or Clutch of Undeath etc. And like I said for Angels and Flyers, Gravity Well.
How to Play the Deck
Now that you know the deck, I'll tell you generally how to play.
Because in EDH your almost never going to have the same opening hands or draw the exact same cards, I can't tell you exactly how to play it. But basically this is how:
On turn 1 or 2 you'll likely be able to summon some small guys like Gravecrawler or Blood Scrivener which you'll obviously want to do. Attack with them as soon as you can because if they die, they're still zombies and they'll probably come back eventually. Also, you'll try to use ramp like Sol Ring so you can cast Grave Betrayal faster. Then the next turn hopefully you'll have something on the curve like some of the good cards; Zombie Master, Lifebane Zombie etc. Which you'll use to get rid of their stuff. I'm not really going to say that much for this stuff because basically I'm just going to keep saying summon this guy then attack with all you can (or block). But luckily you have removal like Pack's Disdain which will deal with indestructible creatures or just plain Putrefy. With this deck you'll also want to kill all things possible then revive them with cards like Grave Betrayal and the Rise of the Dark Realms on a stick, Liliana Vess. Then with your massive army of all your opponents creatures dominate and conquer.

And I know some cards are really bad in this deck like Lifelace (which I used for things like Absolute Grace or Cleanse) or Withstand Death and the completely unrelated cards like Tsunami or Doom Blade.
