I realized the other day that with the change to the legend rule, Teeg got a lot more powerful. I played him in the past and my problem was that I could sort of protect teeg via shroud / hexproof / and protection from colors. The problem was that clones would come along and just roll me over still. Due to this I sort of went away from teeg after a while. With the change to the legend rule though I figure I need to brush the dust off and come out with I think what is my third decklist for teeg.
This version of teeg is creature based as most of my previous versions were. With having Teeg be more resilient this time I decided to go with some value over time creatures and assume that I wont be getting wrathed every other turn. Avacyn + Teeg + a means to shroud them seems like it would be about the most epic troll ever so I am really looking forward to trying to set something like that up.
There are a lot of elements to the list currently but I tried to focus somewhat on defense of my own position as I need to be able to keep teeg in play if at all possible, ETB and value over time creatures, a small equipment package, tutors, removal, and some value generators.
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite she murders a lot of my creatures so she is a big concern at the moment for me. I don't bother running her myself because I am afraid of a cascade of clones that might follow her in and or her being stolen from me. I love everything she does however when turned around on me she would be very difficult to fight past. I don't know what my answer is for her yet. Pumping my guys seems to be the better option to deal with this but I cant really come up with much for pump that seems to be worth including.
Cyclonic Rift the stupid thing can be overloaded through Teeg's effect which is really annoying for me. Re-establishing board position after this seems difficult to say the least. Sadly there are like zero options to answer this other than potentially like using bad white counterspells on it when it happens.
Oblivion Stone obviously all the other variants of essentially the same thing too. This thing can blow my position up and so it a potential problem. I considered running some effects to stop artifact activations but it also keeps me from using most of the useful artifacts. Due to this I refrained from using those options. Avacyn and Ghostway seem to be my better options out of these.
CARDS IN CONSIDERATION:
Ajani, Caller of the Pride literally the only playable walker for me with teeg in play. Whats amusing here is that his ult is actually kind of scarey with teeg's effect. His +1 could potentially bail my small guys out of Elesh Norn's kill range too and the -3 ability could be useful with things like sword triggers. Oddly he seems like he could be playable here.
Emeria Angel she is cheap to drop and turns into an army of guys quickly which I like. I have a few means to buff tokens so it seems like this cheap drop token producer could be useful to me.
Angel of Serenity its a versatile creature in the fact that it can serve as grave recovery or removal.
Summoner's Pact it gives me a creature to hand which I really like. I am always worry of pacts though due to the random you might die aspect of them. Due to not being in colors of really solid card advantage though I think it could make for a nice add. Making room is always hard though.
Worldly Tutor tutors are always nice but I dislike the card disadvantage from it. It does allow me to get any colored creature though which the Pact who is also in consideration cannot.
Illusionist's Bracers I have a lot more creatures in this list with tap abilities and it could be really sweet for extra value from them.
Rhys the Redeemed he is a tutor target option of a few of my toolbox effects. He has some good capability to just get carried away very quickly as well.
Well, I spent the time to cut this list back to a 100 card deck. It had been sitting at like 110-115 for a while there so it took a lot to cull it back.
Anywho, I might push this one together shortly and put some testing in. I like how its a little different due to the commander's limitation on spells and I think something like this would be good to push on my meta who keeps pushing big fat spells down the pipe.

I like the 1 drop package you have. Does your playground get really upset at Serra Ascendant? I like the idea of getting a big flier with 6/6 but it can warp the game if dropped early.

One of my favorite pet card is Grand Abolisher. Very useful against counterspells and spot removal during your turn and you can kill tops.
He is cool but because it only covers my turn I feel like he is more tuned in for fighting just counterspells. It really should have been a situation of opponents cant cast spells or activate abilities outside of their own turn. Its odd that Wizards made the distinction of on your turn in this case when otherwise they have been shifting towards multiplayer a bit more for these type of cards.
I have to fight against spot removal a lot more so than counterspells so while I agree that its cool, if I encountered more counterspells I would likely consider it more.
Defense Grid might yield better results here though as well as it makes it very difficult to push cheap counters and spot removal through.
EDIT: Ohhhhh Dosan the Falling Leaf might actually fit the bill the best here. I don't cast much for spells but I want to be able to cast abilities potentially on opponents turns. This would be really good vs spot removal and counters. Being a legend as well means it opens him up to the Captain Sisay and Time of Need toolbox.

In my meta I see a lof of fogs so Grand Abolisher is a nice plus also it stops being from using greater good during my turn or end of my turn effects. What are your thoughts on Odric, Master Tactician? I am trying him out in my token/weenie deck.

Dosan the Falling Leaf could definately work well against fogs. I thinnk those effects are cool but it seems like a meta call as to how much of that effect to run.
Odric, Master Tactician I will admit to having an unnatural liking of this card but I feel like he becomes a lot more powerful in a teeg deck where wraths are being punished. He can be used as sort of a mass scale fight effect or even as a means to just push a lot of damage in on someone. It seems like a good situation for me regardless of what direction I go with him. You definitely need a decent creature count to make him work though. I sort of view him as reusable removal though in here and like how I have a few extra means to tutor him with Captain Sisay and Time of Need. Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots in my list are all very nice for him as well as it means I can get him easily with a few extra means and jump him in with haste. Out of every commander option I feel like he works the best in a Teeg deck due to protecting me from wraths.

I really like GW aggro lists like these, so much fun to play. I made one fairly similar but put Sisay at the helm, fetching Gaddock with her first activation. The benefit to running Gaddock at the top is he comes down earlier and can be cast quite a few times. But especially with Sisay in the deck, I have trouble not putting Sigarda, Host of Herons in the deck. So good.
Also, consider Awakening Zone as an enchantment that just does work, especially with swords.
You already have Craterhoof for this kind of effect, but Beastmaster Ascension would activate pretty quickly in this deck.

thanks, I did consider between sisay as the commander and teeg. I think the big thing though is how you want to build the deck determines which you pick. Sisay can be a little slow to get him into play especially if she gets hated on and I think in general she brings as much if not more hate from people as a commander. I think the design of the deck though is totally different between which one you choose as the commander though. I personally love trolling people so Teeg fits me better
Sigarda, Host of Herons I did actually have it in my deck but I had to make like 10-15 cuts to bring it down to 100 cards and decided that it was just too narrow for my own meta. As it stands I would really only use the ability against edrazi titans really which is nice but I found it a bit too narrow to include for my own use. Teeg's ability disables a lot of the big sac stuff beyond that though.
Awakening Zone I like the card but I dont know specifically what I would be doing with the tokens. I dont need sac fodder really and I am not going directly the way of a token deck so its a little hit and miss for me here.
Beastmaster Ascension I considered it quite a bit but I have a TON of creature tutors so I figure if I am looking for a finisher the Craterhoof will be more reliable and I didn't feel like I needed the redundancy of running both. Its a good option though I just felt like I didn't need both of them due to the number of tutors I have.
Has Fountain Watch been useful for you? I'm surprised you are not playing Green Sun's Zenith, unless you aren't because it's a boring staple.
Gaea's Cradle? Fetchable with Captain Sisay. I wouldn't add the white or green legendary kamigawa lands though.
Crucible of Worlds? You play fetches, Knight of the Reliquary, Strip Mine, etc.
Fountain Watch I included it because it protects my artifacts. With Teeg turning off the ability to wrath creatures this means I could potentially get a Lighting Greaves / Swiftfoot Boots and put it on and opponents cant blow up my equipment either making it really hard to remove them.
Green Sun's Zenith is not castable with my commander in play :p. So I opted not to run it as my intention is to maximize his time in play.
Gaea's Cradle I could.... but my meta runs a lot of targeted land destruction so I just dont see it paying for itself considering its $$$ cost. My curve is fairly low too with little to noghting to just dump big mana into so I really dont see it being worth the monetary investment in this case. It probably would be good I just dont see it justifying the cost it runs.
Crucible of Worlds perhaps, I dont tend to worry about recovering things though. I will use them while I have them and not worry about them afterwards. Crucible is dead in a lot of situations so I dont worry about it too much. If I played against more stax or something I might consider it more but I think its mostly overrated and unless you are in the right meta it doesnt yield the kind of results I want to see from it.
Not actually sure. There is a lot of light towards the face and breastplate armor is fairly generic regardless of sex. I want to say its a male because of the biceps but..... its hard to say anyting 100%

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Its true that Soltari Visionary has a nice effect but considering Teeg is already shutting down the big mana enchants it leaves only a few targets in my opinion. I think as far as things that can still be cast go I am more afraid of artifacts probably making Caustic Wasps a better option. Even then, I think they are both a little bit narrow but I think the Wasps would likely make it in the list over the Visionary because artifacts are more common than enchantments in the first place.

How has Mirror Entity been working out for you so far? Do you use it as a combo with Lark and Karmic Guide?
The intention was to be able to have a strong buff finisher with it. Now that you mention it though it does look like there is a full survival combo out option with it as well.
I am not one to add or cut cards because of potential combo out options though so I am probably going to leave it but it wasn't my intention when I added it. I figured it would be another way to push a strong buff for my creatures. Currently creature tutoring is my most consistent tutor option so I thought that it would be more useful to me than Beastmaster's Ascension which has a required number of attackers and is static at the +5.
To be honest, this list is on my list of decks I want to assemble but as most of my surplus cards are a 4 hour drive from where I am for the summer I have to make a trip back before I make more decks lol. I will probably put it together in like two weeks from what it looks like.
Luminarch Ascension generally speaking I think of this as more of a control style of wincon. I did think about it but with all the guys I already intend to have I could just play Beastmaster's Ascension and in the same time probably have murdered several people. The problem with Luminarch is its an all or nothing effect and generally speaking I am not protecting my own artifacts / enchantments so I think its going to be a lot harder to see the results from it. Its time to go active is just a little slow in my opinion for this type of deck. The fact that its sort of an all or nothing is also a little worrisome.
Duplicant I did consider him but I actually decided on several value over time removal in the form of Ulvenwald Tracker, Master of the Wild Hunt, and Odric, Master Tactician as means to remove creatures in play. I haven't really gotten to doing testing though so I cant say for sure if this is sufficient or not. The advantage of Duplicant is that it gives you the up front value of the removal effect but its also a one time effect and expensive to cast. Normally I am a lot more fond of using him but in a deck where I can deter wraths it seems like some value over time removal might pick up in its value. I did honestly consider running Intrepid Hero as well in this package but in the end I decided that it was too easily cloned and turned against me so I cut him but I also considered him very closely.
Why not? They come into play untapped, tap for colored mana, and do stuff with all the Legendary creatures. Seems like all up-side.
Legend lands, there are still downsides to them such as Blood Moon, Back to Basics, and Magus of the Moon. The only nonbasic hate that Teeg really hates out is Ruination but considering the others seem like they could be answered somewhat easily in GW I think they might be worth adding. Their advantage is small but so is their disadvantage. I think I will give them a shot and see how they go. Ruination is really the worst of the bunch to encounter in this color setup so I can be happy with having an easy answer to that and move on.
Right now, the only downside I can think of is that they're Legendary. Post-M14, that's not nearly as much of a downside.
I also think they're very good cards - Okina seems right at home in a list like this.
As above, small advantage small disadvantage. I will give them a shot as I seem to be playing plenty of basics still.
All that being said, I had a few changes I was going to make after some thought.
DECK CHANGE:
Linvala, Keeper of Silence -> Skyshroud Poacher I realized that Linvala might cause myself some issues as clones will still be running about and having someone clone up my own Linvala would be really bad for me whereas Linvala vs my opponents is a largely unknown value. The poacher can tutor into the following currently: Fauna Shaman, Fierce Empath, Mirror Entity, Wood Elves, Nullmage Shepherd, and Oracle of Mul Daya. This seems like a nice sized package to add just one creature who can fetch into them all.
Qasali Pridemage -> Tolsimir Wolfblood considering my commander hates on artifacts and enchantments naturally I think the amount of hate I have to dedicate for them is lower. In general I think I foresee myself using the removal effects more on utility lands in a setup like this and since this guy cant hit lands I think he is less important than others I have. The one advantage to keeping him is vs Torpor Orb but considering how much value over time effects I have as well in here I am not too worried about the orb. If someone could sneak a Humility into play I might be in trouble but the pridemage wouldn't help against that anyways so meh. Tolsimir is really kinda cool as he gives me some defense vs Elesh Norn which I had been worried about. His wolf token under the new legend rules is really bad ass too as I can make a new one to essentially give it vigilance. (as a side note that token looks like it might be damn near impossible to find a copy of assuming wizards even printed it in the first place...) (SNAP HE IS AN ELF TOO!!!!! Go go Skyshroud Poacher)
Prison Term -> Path to Exile I like the idea of Prison Term and I think it could be really good in the right meta but currently my meta isn't really full of attacking or utility tap commanders so I am a little on the fence on it. Instead I always like instant speed spot removal so I think we can go that route here and have that emergency answer when I need it.
Plains -> Eiganjo Castle the advantage is small and the disadvantage is small. I am willing to accept that and use it.
I don't mean to nearly duplicate post from your Jenara thread, but I have seen a very nice Teeg deck that runs a rebel/elf chain. I see you are already running Mirror Entity, and the elf chain (Skyshroud Poacher is your crossover) is very good with Tolsimir (who you are running) and Wilt-Leaf Liege. The ability to keep generating value while under Teeg lockdown was very frustrating as an opponent, and eventually Mirror Entity got there. I actually see you are actually running Poacher already. Eh, anyway, a brainstorm at least.

been there done that actually. Rebels are fun and nice for some virtual card advantage. I have a rebel deck in fact still and its a lot of fun but when looking at just filling the field up with dudes to make a big mirror entity.... its not that efficient. Hero of Bladehold puts out several extra bodies a turn for free on the other hand every turn.
I love rebels and I am willing to make a small package of them potentially but in this case I think they usually need a somewhat size-able package to be considered in the first place. The elf tutoring rebel doesn't need much support as the deck was already running several solid elves but if I jumped on the rebel tutors I would need enough rebels to sort of mass produce into each other (probably at least 3-5 slots minimum to be worthwhile).
Right now I just dont really want to go large scale on the rebels. I should have the list up and running in about a week though so hopefully I can get more testing other than just my pen and paper analysis I have so far.

Kind of, except that what his deck did was combine the two chains, allowing for elf tool-box off of the rebel chain. So with the two combined you can do silly things (especially with L. Greaves) like rebel tutor for elf tutor, equip greaves, tutor for seeker of skybreak, equip greaves and untap elf tutor, tutor for priest of titania, equip greaves, tap for mana, rebel tutor for mirror entity. Next turn, elf tutor for Tolsimir/Liege, entity for 0 making everything an elf, tap priest for a ton, untap with seeker, tap for a ton more, swing for lethal.

How I know I should build a deck:
thanks, I did consider between sisay as the commander and teeg.

How I know I should build a deck:
Its true that Soltari Visionary has a nice effect but considering Teeg is already shutting down the big mana enchants it leaves only a few targets in my opinion. I think as far as things that can still be cast go I am more afraid of artifacts probably making Caustic Wasps a better option. Even then, I think they are both a little bit narrow but I think the Wasps would likely make it in the list over the Visionary because artifacts are more common than enchantments in the first place.

Why not? They come into play untapped, tap for colored mana, and do stuff with all the Legendary creatures. Seems like all up-side.
I also think they're very good cards - Okina seems right at home in a list like this.
Forest -> Okina, Temple to the Grandfathers the advantage is small and the disadvantage is small. I am willing to accept that and use it.

sooooo..... something like this?
been there done that actually.
