I am in love with this deck... I have played perhaps a thousand games with it online in its development... it has problems, but awesome advantages too... I'll show you the deck and then discuss the different parts of it.
How It Works
Mono red has a disadvantage with killing opponent's creatures, at least in a card advantage friendly way. I solved this by having lots of dudes with some variant on "cost:deal 1(or more) damage to target creature" and combining it with deathtouch equipments, which Godo readily searches out. My pinger enablers are Basilisk Collar, Gorgon Flail and Sword of Kaldra.
One of the other great synergies of the deck is colorless blink effects, to refresh Godo's ability, and search for more equipment. This enables me to search for what I need or go Kaldra-Voltron which is especially amazing when you consider that Kaldra can attack twice with Godo for 2 mana (double activate the helm to untap it) dishing out damage like nobody's business.
Several cards work well with Godo's double attack steps ability aside from Kaldra. Batterskull is amazing as a second life-link enabler as well as being able to get Dude-presence when you need it, and with vigilance also attacks twice with Godo, or can enable another creature to do so. Hateflayer is INSANE with Godo if you can attack with both and have mana open, as well as combing with Grafted Exoskeleton nicely. Ronin Cliffrider is a samurai, and with deathtouch can be a shroud proof board wipe for up to two opponents a turn.
This deck is SUPER TIGHT, to the point where I don't have room for all-stars like Sword of Fire and Ice, and Swiftfoot Boots, that being said there is built in redundancy, as there are two sources of lifelink, two sources of shroud, three sources of deathtouch, one of which is exiletouch and can be made indestructible, as well as two sources of haste.
The deck RAMPS HARD, 'capable' of untapping on turn 2 with 14 mana with a god hand. However, I moved away from mana doublers and off turn mana like Grim Monolith, preferring solid dependable every-turn mana rocks. The deck is mana hungry EVERY TURN, so Monolith and friends are only so good here. Misra's Factory is another card considered, but it can't pay equip costs, so its utility can quickly become useless after an initial boost. Mana doublers would cost me great non-basics, and also are a HUGE target in Multiplayer, whereas individual ramp cards are not so much. Honor-Worn Shaku, is surprisingly good in a deck that can tap down its Kaldra equipments for mana with no downside. Vandalblast pretty much is doom for the deck, although its possible to recover, I considered Darksteel Forge, but 90% of games it is mostly irrelevant and expensive.
In a deck that plays 1 instant, Vedalken Orrery is amazing and necessary...
In Summary
The deck is FAST, HITS HARD, has loads of SYNERGY, and most importantly is ADAPTABLE, using Godo like a swiss army knife to morph to fit the gamestate. A deck where each card synergies or combos spectacularly with the general OR something that the general can tutor for is a tough ask for a mono red deck.
The deck is resilient, but has a steep learning curve due to the number of potential options once Godo comes down. Do I get Argentum Armour, hope for no removal and go to town? Get Shield of Kaldra, knowing that I've got a blink effect in hand to start to assemble the rest? Do I grab Grafted Exoskeleton and go for the kill on the dude with no blockers? Or grab Basilisk Collar for the pinger that I've got in my hand, or to equip to Heartless Hidetsugu? Or grab a Batterskull because I need a blocker and I'm low on life?
Dissadvantages
OK, the deck is mono R, which sucks... it cuts me out of almost all tutors (except Gamble, Imperial Recruiter, and of course Godo himself). Almost all land ramp is unavailable (except Wayfarer's Bauble), forcing me to rely on artifact mana exclusively with leaves me open to Oblivion Stone, Niv-disk and vandalblast. Card draw capabilities is mostly artifacts and Wheel of Fortune effects.
The synergies and Toolbox use up so much of the deck that there is no room for all-stars like Word of Seizing, Reiterate, Goblin Welder, etc.
MANY MANY cards have been once considered, tested, and cut for one reason or another from the deck, a limited list follows:
because for a three equip cost, as well as wasting a search, it doesn't do enough... I'dd rather run thornbite staff, but don't even have room for it... also the 4 equip cost is harsh... even though it turns any pinger into a goblin sharpshooter, and grants ping as well...
Edit: also noticed that the thornbite staff auto equips to a few of my shaman dudes... but its still on the fence for adding, because you need it, a death touch enabler, AND a creature, and you have to get them all together...so its two searches... thats why I had taken it out after I ran it before. the best use for it is when your pinger with death touch gets killed, then you play godo, thorn bite, and equip all... but you aren't likely to have tis much mana, and if you do, you won't have enough to start pinging... great in theory, but when you need it, its impractical

I kill fali's oracle of mull daya and dryad arbor with my pingers and Zoky drops two enchantresses.
fall plays Koth, and Borgy but zoky paths Borgy.
I play Godo, grab basilisk collar and use my Wojek Embermage to kill the enchantresses. I hit kith putting him at 2. Fali blows up my basilisk collar with a well placed wickerbough elder. I play Solemn and Tawnos's Coffin and pass.
Zoky Drops Uril,
Fali drops Borgy and wipes my field but I put Godo in the coffin. I untap grab Batterskull from Godo, play a Siege-Gang Commander
Zoky swords to plowshares Borgy Enchants a buch and kills Fali in one turn
i grab argentum and wipe his Enchants, but he casts shield of the oversoul, swings for 13, and orims chants me so i can't attack to blow up his flying enchant… i dig with Mikokoro, mind stone and top but theres no chaos warp... he swings at me for lethal the next turn.
Unlucky today, with better play I feel I had a shot at winning both of these matches, and shows that red can be competitive even against decks with a multitude of threats and answers
Thought id give some more insight into what it is like to play with a godo deck in multiplayer. on Cockatrice most players play with 'casual' rules in force, no mass land destruction/denial, no infinite combos etc. other plays will often gett a kick from the host, such as a turn 3 show and tell into Omniscence into blight steel colossus and akroma's memorial. I do not lean on these rules as a crutch, indeed without them my deck would be better as I would play more land destruction (if thats what I liked, which I don't). These rules are in force because of the degeneracy that results otherwise in a metagame where any card is available due to the proxy play (even those that would otherwise be prohibitively expensive).
I mull twice but still end up with a hand that has just a cold steel heart for ramp and against these two generals I'm worried i drop thawing glaciers and hope that ill be ignored for a while or top deck into something good. Blackmagic suspends restore balance turn 2, and as I've not got the gas to kill him before it resolves, i don't play anything. when i realize that he's use going to sit on two lands i play heartless hidetsugu having a grafted exoskeleton in hand and hoping that blackmagic will gain some life and i can oneshot him after tapping with heartless once. He has a heroes remembered suspended but it will resolve after the restore balance. I play the exoskeleton and Quantum mana drains it. Blackmagic scoops because actually he just has no land. quantum bounces heartless, i tap in response, he briberies me grabbing Kozie. I play Tawnos's Coffin and read it for the first time to realize that it puts it back in under its OWNER's control, i exile Kozie. I get him back, exile his newly casted general, play Godo and equip greaves to Kozie, Quantum scoops.
I open with an average hand, Gaurdian idol, Fire Diamond, and Coalition Relic, Greives and some lands. tylerme drops an anvil of bogardan, then drops a rustic study which he proceeds to draw a million cards off of and gets the animosity of the whole table. Spellbinder drops luminarch Ascention turn 2 and has it activated before his next turn.
spellbinder makes an army of angels, A-log makes an army of elves, and i keep dropping my mana rocks. Hope ends up getting color screwed. I drop Mind's Eye and start to draw cards off it in the mid game. i eventually play vedalken orerry, and I'm playing at instant speed, salem just slowly plays lands, sitting on a hand of answers, and spellbinder tries to kill tyler with his army of angels. tyler plays a 21/21 platinum empirion memeoplasm. Mr Elves puts down a Jorga war caller and blows up the luminarch with a nullmage shepard, spellbinderkills the mimeo plasm and swings for lethal on tyler, then plays a terminus to kill the elvs. i play thran dynamo-->sculpting steel, and have a **** ton of mana. Hope plays teysa and a blood artist, i kill teysa with a chose warp (he sacs in response to the phyrexian altar. spellbinder drops elsash-nornkiling the blood artist. salem plays Korador, hope playes a nim deathmantle and teysa. spellbinder oblations korador. but salem gets revenge with condemn on elash-norn when he attacks with it, spell plays elspeth and gideon. i play hate flayer and a basilisk collar at EOT, i play cunning sparkmage and attach the collar to it, kill spellbinder's elspeth with the hateflayer. and grieves up my hateflayer. not much happens in the next round, but i play godo at eot grabbing argentum, equip it to the hateflayer, and swing into gideon with godo and the hateflayer, because i have to. I untap the hateflayer for 11 to spellbinder and swing at him again, putting him at 11. i play spikeshot elder
salem is at 12 at this point and when he tries to planar cleansing i untap the hateflayer and ping him with the spikeshot for lethal in response.
A-log plays nissa revane, but its all too late. i attack Hope with my hateflayer untap to kill spellbinder, attack again, then i equip the argentum to my spikeshot elder and ping Hope to death 7 at a time, A-log scoops.

Mat proceeds to destro all our lands with kozie… i'm the host but i decide that it is only borderline Mass land destruction, and really unavoidable in his case anyway.
between games i cut Fire Diamond for a doubling cube.
i open a hand with a little ramp and a brass squire… always good to see that guy. i draw helm of kaldra and anticipate my all time favorite play coming up for turn 5, i drop brass squire and helm turn 4, i play Godo, but i there black/blue players with untapped mana and I'm not hopeful, indeed before my turn even starts rokuro drops an executioners capsule and i can't go for argentum armour, i go for shield of kaldra instead.
Ikill plays show and tell-->omniscience-->blightsteel/Akroma's memorial and gets kicked from the game by the host, Rokoro played Arena of the Ancients and locks down my general for about 6 turns, a couple magister sphinxes get played, and we all end up around 10. i play blasphemous act and my general for the last kaldra equip. attack with my brass squire (who was Shielded from the wrath) and the kaldra avatar to kill rokuro, dawn untaps but scoops as he's at 13 and has nothing.
i open an insane hand with mana crypt and a worn powerstone, and a ronin cliff rider. i draw and play a brass squire turn 3.
coke0 drops a maze of ith and I'm forced to go for Argentum armour, even though at this point ill have to destroy lands… which i don't really want to do but have to.
Aquilla plays a dungrove elder, but i attack him twice and destroy two of his forests and he scoops, coke scoops too.

zach starts pinging me with his inkmoth nexus and his Thespian-nexus start to get worried so i do play kumano instead of my general, knowing also that I've got Kozilek on top of my library for the next turn if i need him, dawn plays grizzly spectacle making me lose both Kozilek and Kumano.
dawn plays omniscience, but doesn't play anything insane off it. i play Godo and argentum. When Zach attacks me i mist-maze his stage nexus, and at eot i attach armour to godo with the brass squire, i play sword of kaldra and wispersilk cloak, equip the sword then equip the cloak, dawg Muders in response, i equip the shroud with the squire and swing to kill dawg for 26 with godo, zach scoops.
Well... thats it... that shows the power of Godo, Bandit Warlord, 5 wins 1 loss. and against top tier generals. Godo's ability to pull wins out of nowhere is uncanny, and is his stronger attribute. i was lucky as well, never saw vandal blast or spell crumple/hinder in any of these games, my most hated cards.
EDIT: I won't give you the details but i played 8 games against my mates dedicated 1v1 Zur, the Enchanter combo deck and managed to go 2 wins out of 8. While 1/4 is not a good rating keep in mind that this is a multiplayer deck and this guy's deck regularly wins turn 3, like... every game. I think that 1/4 ain't bad and shows how fast and brutal Godo can be.

Matzestinkt--Kozilek butcher of truth
Dawg tired_1--Progenitus
jace916--Cromat
i open with a chalice and a dynamo, which is pretty decent. jace plays a howling mine, which is great for me. mat plays a doubling cube and i wonder why it isn't in my deck. mat drops kozie turn 4 equips with greaves and attacks me… i sac all but my thran dynamo and a mountain.
Mat proceeds to destro all our lands with kozie… i'm the host but i decide that it is only borderline Mass land destruction, and really unavoidable in his case anyway.
between games i cut Fire Diamond for a doubling cube.

Dawg tired_1--Oona, queen of the fae
Ikilledalcapone--Hoard of Notions
Rokuro--Sharuum the hegemon
i open a hand with a little ramp and a brass squire… always good to see that guy. i draw helm of kaldra and anticipate my all time favorite play coming up for turn 5, i drop brass squire and helm turn 4, i play Godo, but i there black/blue players with untapped mana and I'm not hopeful, indeed before my turn even starts rokuro drops an executioners capsule and i can't go for argentum armour, i go for shield of kaldra instead.
Ikill plays show and tell-->omniscience-->blightsteel/Akroma's memorial and gets kicked from the game by the host, Rokoro played Arena of the Ancients and locks down my general for about 6 turns, a couple magister sphinxes get played, and we all end up around 10. i play blasphemous act and my general for the last kaldra equip. attack with my brass squire (who was Shielded from the wrath) and the kaldra avatar to kill rokuro, dawn untaps but scoops as he's at 13 and has nothing.

coke0--Angus Macenzie
Aquila34--Thrun the Last Troll
i open an insane hand with mana crypt and a worn powerstone, and a ronin cliff rider. i draw and play a brass squire turn 3.
coke0 drops a maze of ith and I'm forced to go for Argentum armour, even though at this point ill have to destroy lands… which i don't really want to do but have to.
Aquilla plays a dungrove elder, but i attack him twice and destroy two of his forests and he scoops, coke scoops too.
--not exactly casual play on my part, which i apologized for, but i needed the argentum to kill the maze.

dawn tired_1-- Oona queen of the fae
ZachSieg-- Karn silver golem
i have a decent hand, Honor worn shaku, brass squire, co-relic, top, thawing glaciers, gardian idol and a mistifying maze.
dawn plays a crypt ghast, zach starts putting artifacts out, titan forge, temporal aperture, etc…
i play my rocks and let glaciers make sure i get a land drop every turn for a while. i draw Kumano. but no one is playing the creature game so I'm not going to go for deathtouch control…
zach starts pinging me with his inkmoth nexus and his Thespian-nexus start to get worried so i do play kumano instead of my general, knowing also that I've got Kozilek on top of my library for the next turn if i need him, dawn plays grizzly spectacle making me lose both Kozilek and Kumano.
dawn plays omniscience, but doesn't play anything insane off it. i play Godo and argentum.
