Figured I might as well post all of my EDH decks to try and get the help that I think I need. This deck was built as a foil to my other deck: Sliver Overlord. The reason being is that people were complaining that slivers were giving people too much of a problem. So I built this deck, and whenever people complain about slivers I offer them this to play and for the most part, it will stomp it down. Anyway, Here's the Deck: The main focus is beating down on non-basic lands, while also providing a sturdy voltron shell. The manabase can be a bit shaky, but it's reliable enough.
Theres the Deck, now the issue is that I have quite a few cards that I think warrant a slot, but I'm not sure how to fit them in. I believe I need to fit in the 3 associated signets, Absorb, as well as Fact or Fiction. Anyone have any ideas for cuts?
Your list wants to tutor for aggressive artifacts while also wanting to kill the lands while also wanting to have mana up to counterspell things. I'd suggest picking two of the three and sticking with it.
In your list Ruhan can win by A) Dropping early, swinging into empty boards and winning, B) Dropping early and blowing the lands up/freezing them, C) mopping up in the mid game with an appropriate sword attached, D) Finishing someone off by being unblockable. Also, you could ultimate a planeswalker.
You have 5ish creatures that want to blink. Cutting Venser seems better for you unless your opponents tend to have 1 creature on board. Same with Tamiyo. I get that they are win cons in their own right, but it seems they aren't supported by enough control elements. If you are playing Venser and Tamiyo for their plus abilities to clear blockers I'd find more definite ways of punching through with Ruhan.
I'd suggest removing some of the less optimal equipment since you have 3 tutors. That's basically 3 extra of each sword. Stick to a tighter package.
Isochron Sceptre has 9ish targets which means your options will be weak and you won't be able to protect it. Card advantage is better gained from your creatures. It's also a huge target.
I'd suggest adding to the Ruination strategy but go more cutthroat. Keep the lands from untapping altogether and survive on mana rocks. Also, adding stuff to make Ruhan unblockable seems good.
I'm not a fan of Whipflare, Slagstorm or Pyroclasm, Starstorm works better than all of them and you might want an additional real Wrath of God (Or DoJ), which Catastrophe from above also fits.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.
Weiss Schwarz Sets
Accel World, Angel Beats, Familiar of Zero, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Guilty Crown, Kill La Kill, Robotics;Notes, Sword Art Online.
Chaos Partners
Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Iona, Kirishima, Kongou.
Dangan Ronpa: Asahina, Togami.
Freezing: Vibration: Chiffon, Satelizer.
Vanguard Clans Favoured
Angel Feather, Dark Irregulars, Genesis, Neonecter, Pale Moon, Shadow Paladins, Tachikaze.
This might not be the best path to victory but I feel the changes outlined above would tighten your list a bit.
I agree with most of the changes, however I feel like the isochron scepter is better than you give it credit for, even with only 9 targets, 8 of them are quite backbreaking. I also disagree with cutting Venser, the reason why I included the mini-sweepers (whipflare ETC.) is to clear swarms of tokens that can just chump-block Ruhan. I actually like the idea of going all in on mana denial though, and will probably put in most of them. I feel like the ruination is still strong though, as it has the potential to just win games I have no right winning. So the things I'm thinking about cutting
OUT:
Sword of Body and Mind
Sword of Light and Shadow
Tamiyo, the Moon Sage
Mercurial Chemister (Same reasons as every other fragile powerhouse)
Rewind
IN:
3 Signets
Winter Orb
Rising Waters
Maybe I'll try to fit in static orb, but I don't have one at the moment.

I'm thinking about the tradeoff between keeping ruhan alive while sweeping their board of little guys, vs. just wiping it. Starstorm is a card that I wouldn't consider, I'm not a huge fan of it at all.
