I want to start with Armadillo Cloak is almost always better than Unflinching Courage. Multiple instances of Lifelink doesn't stack; however, you can have Lifelink and Cloak's ability stack which gains you double the amount of life.
I see a lot of creatures that would be useful if they had something that buffed them. I see a couple good enchantments and a couple good equipment but not a consistant base of either.
I would consider focusing on one type of buff--enchantment or artifact. Trying to do both can get overwhelming and cause confusion for you in the middle of the match.
If you went with an artifact-heavy deck I would consider running each of the Mirrodin swords (both old and new Mirrodin). I would run Batterskull and Umezawa's Jitte as well. If you can get Jitte out early, one-on-one, you are certain to control the pace of the match.
I like to run Serra Ascendant in aggro decks like this one. She is a perfect hit for a couple turns until she draws out some of your opponent's hate.
I originally built Rafiq of the Many enchantment VOLTRON myself. I ended up taking it apart because I liked my Uril, the Miststalker enchantment VOLTRON better. I also built Kemba, Kha Regent VOLTRON equipment deck. So I am slightly familiar with the VOLTRON concept.
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or want more suggestions.
Thanks for the ideas so far guys, to be honest the idea isn't to get Rafiq out that early anymore, because of all of the hate. I'd rather they'd kill the little guys, waste their answers then drop the bomb.
I do like the idea of focusing on enchantments or artifacts, my only issue with it is mass wipes of enchantments/artifacts have really taken hold in my meta so want some redundancy and force them to use two sweepers when I eventually go for the kill.

The idea, hit fast, hit hard and hit often with evasive creatures that are tooled up for the job.
Consistency is the name of the game.

For enchantments you have all of the enchantress effects that will allow you to draw into a lot of power. If you run enchantment-heavy you could really tap into enchantments like Ethereal Armor, Spirit Mantle, Daybreak Coronetand Eldrazi Conscription.
If you went with an artifact-heavy deck I would consider running each of the Mirrodin swords (both old and new Mirrodin). I would run Batterskull and Umezawa's Jitte as well. If you can get Jitte out early, one-on-one, you are certain to control the pace of the match.
In terms of creatures: If you are running equipment then you most definitely need Stoneforge Mystic and Stonehewer Giant for the equipment tutor. You may also want to run Scarecrone and Argivian Archaeologist for artifact recursion.
If you are running enchantments then I would run all of the enchantresses. I see that you already have Messa Enchantress but there is also Verduran Enchantress, Kor Spiritdancer, Argothian Enchantress and Enchantress's Presence (not a creature but does the same thing as the creatures. You would use Academy Rector for the tutor and Nomad Mythmaker for the recursion.
I like to run Serra Ascendant in aggro decks like this one. She is a perfect hit for a couple turns until she draws out some of your opponent's hate.
