This is my Jhoira Deck. I mainly built this one for 1x1, but Im having fun playing multiplayer games too. So I am tied with both Wizards and French list. And some stores are doing 1x1 tournaments using Wizards' list.
And "YES", you are going to be hated out once you show your commander in multiplayer games. People does not like to have their table "reset" and once you cast Jhoira and suspend 1 or 2 spells, they all will try to kill you before those spells resolve. But this deck is so much fun I dont really care on being focused.
Some considerations:
- This deck does not need fetchlands of any type. Just maybe correcting the mana colors (probably will add Cascade Bluff to the list). Once you reset the table, using jhoira or not, you need to keep drawing lands, because your threat will get killed sooner or later and you will need a comeback. This is for multiplayer only, bacause on 1x1 people usually concedes once you blow up the table with a threat on it, but then again, if they manage to kill it, you need to be able to win after that.
- No Kozilek or Ulamog? Well... Im trying to get those, but they are really hard to find at a reasonable price And the Local Store does not have to sell.
- No Sol Ring? It's the same problem of getting Kozilek and Ulamog.
- Its an auto-loss against Gaddock Teeg. how do I win this matchup?
My main concern is that, on 1x1, Im not fast enough against some ultra fast decks, such as Elves and Edric.
I need some way to cast Jhoira and suspend at least 1 sweeper at turn 4 (or event at turn 3), without giving up on the control side of the deck. Are there any good artifact or spell that allows me to do that?
Also, are there any card that could be "upgraded" for a better one?
