How to make it competitive need all the help.

I'm not sure what godo is for. He does work well with your commander (essentially only 1 red mana), but forces you to include equipment. I suppose that's not entirely bad, but you oculd improve your equipments.

Sword of body and mind doesn't add that much to your deck. Is there any reason that's in there over fire and ice? Batterskull is nice with Godo, but it would be sort of bad to pick it up (not really bad, but less ideal I think). Swords are overpowered. Sword of feast and famine works really well with your commander because you can spend mana to get damage through, and then untap to cast him.

You don't want too many big bombs since they will be useless if your commander isn't working out. You have to think of it like kaalia. The lower costed creatures are still good because they can be used when you don't have the optimal board.

As for bombs, I would probably just run the eldrazi. They instantly affect the game (even when countered), and can potentially cost 0. Even with griselbrand, you have to pay 4 black mana which is tough sometimes.

If you put deck tags around your list, it will link all the cards for you and make it pretty. There should be a button to do it in the text editor for posting.

You need more removal. You are playing a more controlling B/R deck, as your curve is high. Things such as damnation, black sun's zenith, mutilate, oblivion stone. Some instant speed removal such as terminate, go for the throat, dismember, diabolic edict.

With the current creatures you have you will have a hard time casting a rakdos, and without him, these big creatures you intend to cheat out will more likely be stuck in your hand. I do see the sneak attack, but the chances of having it when you need it are pretty low.

Shred memory is usually better than faerie macabre.


What is your reasoning for playing uba mask? I'm not quite sure what this is doing for you.

I have a version of rakdos that tries to get rakdos online as soon as possible.

your list looks like you wait a bit before getting online; so my suggestions may not be as applicable.

some all-stars
rune-scarred demon hit with rakdos and drop this demon, search up kozilek or another eldrazi; i prefer kozilek for the card draw. or if you have an empty/irrelevant hand search of knollspine dragon

disciple of bolas is another great card to refresh your hand with

hatred makes your general one-shot people and it seems like your deck could cast it more reliably with all the discard you have

reliably casting rakdos can be tough; your mana base looks solid but you could also add city of brass, badlands, command tower


in a rakdos deck, you are going to have slow awkward hands; don't be afraid to mulligan, if u cant reduce the cost of your bombs, they are effectively dead cards in hand.

rakdos being countered/killed really slows the deck down; cavern of souls is a competitive must IMO

I didn't try yet the one I posted here is my current version of Rakdos, Lord of Riots which I tried and tested against various 1v1 decks still a work on progress.
