Hey everyone, This is my first post so I hope you enjoy!
Things to know about the deck:
-This is a constant work in progress.
-The deck is a mix between competitive and budget.
-The main theme of the deck is put your opponent on a fast clock by using efficient equipment to beat down your opponent.
-The sub-theme is of course to combo out using Saffi's ability to abuse certain cards in the deck.
-It's loads of fun!
-As far as I know, nobody else has built a Saffi deck in a similar way so it's fairly original.
Sejiri Steppe?
The reason this otherwise dull non basic land is in the deck is because of one card. Knight of the Reliquary. Nobody ever sees this coming. Searching the land up in response to spot removal or thievery or whatever is a great backup to have when you don't have an evasive equipment to use.
Alright it's not that amazing, but I think it's really cool.
Now for the combos.
Combo 1: Infinite Damage: Saffi, Sun Titan and Blasting Station. With all three cards on the battlefield, Sacrifice Saffi targeting Sun Titan. Sacrifice Sun Titan to Blasting Station. Sun Titan comes back and Blasting Station untaps. In addition his ETB trigger brings Saffi back with him. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
Note: Revillark can be substituted for sun titan in this situation
Combo 2: Infinite life and Damage: Melira, Sylvok Outcast, Kitchen Finks and, you guessed it. Blasting Station.
With all three cards on the battlefield, Sacrifice Kitchen finks to Blasting Station. Due to Melira's static ability, "Creatures you control can't have -1/-1 counters placed on them", Kitchen Finks comes back from the graveyard with no counters on him, allowing him to come back infinite times. Once again, Blasting Station untaps and you may repeat.
Tips:
-Stonehewer Giant's ability does not target which allows you to use it to equip creatures that have shroud thanks to a Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots or Whispersilk Cloak. Pretty sweet deal.
-If you're trying to combo and are missing your blasting station but have access to greater good and your other two combo pieces, you can use greater good to cycle through your deck and find your missing piece!
I'm aware the deck is less than perfect, however, it does usually preform well as is and has a positive win loss ratio. And that's it! Hope you enjoyed my first post! Any constructive criticism and or suggestions are appreciated.
