I've never been a fan of R in Magic, especially EDH. The typical play style associated with the color just doesn't adhere to my idea of “fun”. However, occasionally I do find myself interested in experimenting. Such a moment presented itself when Gisela was released in AVR. I decided to build an aggro deck with the best of everything I had that was red and white. I played a few games, and it was exciting, but the deck was truly lacking. It took way too long for Gisela to see play, and she usually never stayed long enough to matter when I finally was able to cast her. I really enjoyed the idea of the deck, but playing it just wasn't that good. The lack of card draw didn't help either. So, I gave up, and returned to my comfort zone, with the thought that “maybe one day” I'd have the cards to make it work.
That day came in the form of Aurelia, the Warleader. And with her release came a plethora of potential (R/W) goodness. Unfortunately I only obtained a few of these new cards, but my collection of older cards grew as well, so I finally felt able to rebuild the deck.
To save time... I build from an “EDH Box” of cards; you can read my Ghost Council thread if you want a brief explanation. I have access to much more than what I'm listing, and I use meta-game knowledge to build accordingly, but this is the default build.
Again, aggro is not my style, but I feel pretty comfortable with this deck so far. Aurelia provides all the fuel I need for combat, while Gisela, Avacyn, both Akromas, and other creatures provide beef with great utility. For early game damage, I've got Baneslayer, Firemane, and Basandra to name a few. I still don't have much in the form of draw, but with the board control I have now, maybe I can bring everyone else down to my level. Of course, if I get an explosive start, I can probably just kill everyone before their ramp and extra draw will even matter!
Given that this deck is experimental, I do not plan on buying anything, especially anything red, but I'll still take any suggestions just in case I happen to acquire more cards down the road.
Since a good deal of your creatures an spells cost an arm and a leg I would seriously suggest Thran Dynamo alongside of gilded lotus, they pull their weight and more in this deck.
Some things to take out (in my opinion)
Orim's thunder
Lightning helix
faith's fetter
boros keyrune
You could easily run sunforger in this build considering you have mistveil plains and it makes up for your lack of draw, speaking of draw, you could probably use a skullclamp too.

Incorrect. The mana symbol is in Extorts rules text, which according to the RC doesn't count as "on the card."
It was in the most recent Banned list update to clarify the position with all cards that have extort.
