This is the deck I won with for the October 2012 EDH league with at my LGS.
Well in reality the deck had 6 less fetch lands, 3 less filter lands, and 9 less basic lands for 18 snow-covered lands to help with an achievement for having 12 or more snow-covered permanents in play (which I earned 3 times during the league). I've gone ahead and optimized the lands since people looking at the list aren't going for that specific achievement.
I'm sure there are still some changes that could be made to optimize it more, but as is it ran pretty well for me. I would just ramp really hard to my late game spells and draw spells. Cavern of Souls was very nice on multiple occasions keeping my general from being countered.
I only ran a couple of combos to help end games that were going no-where fast. I also included some token producers to make a large army, but I never really got to use them so I don't know if they're worth a spot (mainly Army of the Damned is in question).
Well Night's Whisper and Sign in Blood are not in here because I ramp so much I'd rather get more draw out of a single card than just 2. So really cards like Ancient Craving and Ambition's Cost would be better to consider for my particular build.
I do not own Dreadbore and I figured I'm already packing a lot of mass removal that I didn't need a ton of targeted removal and the same goes for Abrupt Decay. Rakdos Charm needs to go in since it is a fun way to kill the kiki-jiki combo player and the other abilities are pretty relevant. I'm not fond of Golgari Charm or Jund Charm neither does enough to warrant inclusion. Maelstrom Pulse used to be in the list. I took it out for Chaos Warp as a way to tuck generals for an achievement called "Where's your boy?" Decimate is a great card in multiplayer, but occasionally it was still too situational so I cut it. Hull Breach could definitely find its way back into the list since I'm a little light on enchantment hate. I agree that many of those are good cards, but for every good card you need to cut something and putting too many good cards in turns this into goodstuff.dec or it gives me a lot more cheap removal without many answers to dominating board states which is why I lean more towards lots of sweepers.
Made some updates to what I'm currently running. I still really enjoy Jund. It is nice to win games without any blue. Karrthus is underestimated many times. People forget that he has haste and sometimes they forget he can steal their dragons.
The deck plays a lot of good stuff so sometimes it can combo out and win without the general, but I usually like to beat face with him.
The T&N into kiki-zealous combo is a way to make sure I have a win-condition in case Karrthus gets tucked or I'm worried about other players comboing first. The other combo is in there for sillyness (Hellkite Charger + Bear Umbra/Sword of Feast and Famine).
