I've been working on this list for some time now. None of the RTR commanders appealed to me, so I was hoping for a voltron type commander in Gatecrash. Aurelia seems like she might do well as voltron, and I've never done a W/R commander before.
Tatsumasa, the Dragon's Fang is just a personal choice. I've never used it before and I have a foil. I also mad my own foil token. Sword of Vengeance may seem redundant, but it's there in case I don't have access to Aurelia, and it also provides trample.
The ultimate goal is to get Aggravated Assault out, and equip Aurelia with Sword of Feast and Famine. Though, the deck can win even without this. The other swords give you protection from whatever color you need, as well. This can really be done with any red general, but what makes it so easy is...
Some things to keep in mind with this deck is the wording of Aurelia's card, and her interaction with Haste, Vigilance, and utility creature's abilities. Stonehewer Giant with haste and Aurelia out basically means you win.
Another fun one is the new card Frontline Medic. Swing with him and 2 other creatures, then after combat you can Wrath of God or Fight to the Death. Except the death will be one sided. You can do a similar interaction with Boros Charm.
Of the 11 Instants, 9 of them can be put under Isochron Scepter. The best being any of the spot removal, since it allows you to deal with early threats. It also makes itself a target to draw out the "Destroy target artifact", to keep your swords on the board while you build up your relentless attack phases. Sunforger is also able to bring out any of your instants, though I would hold Return to Dust unless you absolutely needed it.
Spirit en-Dal is used strictly for her Forecast ability to make Aurelia unblock-able (essentially).
There's nothing really special going on with the mana base. I don't have Plateau or it would obviously be in here. I don't generally invest that much in a deck until it proves itself.
Honestly, even to myself this seems like W/R good stuff. So let me know if you have any suggestions for more "under the radar" stuff. I'm open to suggestions and constructive criticism.
I am too running a Aurelia deck, but it goes along the lines of maximising creature abilities rather than voltron.
Aggravated Assault is really a good card for this deck. You can further augment it by adding in tap based creatures like the mana myrs. They do get untapped with aggravated assault and can be further tapped to gain yet more "combat / main phases", and it gets better and better if Kiki-Jiki or Splinter Twin hits the board, doubling the damage and abilities.
Eg. 1 gold, 1 iron, 1 palladium, 1 alloy myr can tap for 5mana (2WRR, which is just enough to pay for another activation of aggravated assault)
Angelic Skirmisher is another GTC gem that goes well with Aurelia. It is very easy to gain at least 2 abilities when Aurelia or Aggravated assault is around. (although only the first strike and lifelink is good for aurelia)
Lastly, an Aurelia deck cannot be completed without her fury. The fury is so multi-purpose.
Boros Charm is really doing well. Having it under Isochron Scepter is ridiculous, you can always use it, even if it's just pinging a player for 4. I haven't gotten to infinite attack phases, but haven't needed to.
Tuned my list a lot. Quite a bit actually. I need more creatures for combat, and many of the cuts were not worth the slot.
I simplified the land base because one, I find having 10+ types of lands on my board confusing/annoying, and two, I was never hitting Plains for their type enough for the things that need them. It also allows me to use Extraplanar Lens and Snow-Covered basics are now worth using Scrying Sheets.
The deck is overall still voltron, but now it isn't as reliant on the general.
Please let me know what you think of the updates, as well as any miss-typed additions.
Have you ever considered putting Godo, Bandit Warlord into the deck? He is a 6 drop equipment tutor that also gives you an additional attack phase which i think fits the theme of the deck very well
Also another thing I forgot to add is have you ever thought of Ghostway as a safety card with sunforger? in case you are a little too overextended you can always use it to save your creatures. and maybe mistveil plains for some recursion with sunforger?

This is mostly good equipment, but some of them are particularly important. Those are Sword of Feast and Famine, Umezawa's Jitte, and the Kaldra set.

I really like this concept and plan on building it myself.
