This deck sets out a labyrinth of enchantments that severely restrict or even locks down your opponents while protecting the planeswalkers that build momentum for your own board position. Fogs aplenty also protect your planeswalker value engines. Anthem effects not only pump up your tokens but break through the triad lockdown of Humility, Night of Souls’ Betrayal and Living Plane.
The original build of this deck was a GWB superfriends fog deck, but I found I needed cards like Humility because though fogs protect the planeswalkers, they don’t necessarily keep other people from winning the game. Fogs don’t stop someone from going off with Kederekt Leviathan and Draining Whelk. Humility does.
The deck isn’t fast, and if you’re not overzealous with playing planeswalkers has a fairly low threat level. In other words hold on to Doubling Season and Vraska, the Unseen until you're in a good position.
I originally wanted to go creatureless, but Academy Rector is too good as a way to instantly put a key enchantment in play in response to shenanigans. And in a deck that wants to play fogs, already has Ghave, Guru of Spores and Doubling Season in its list, Spike Weaver deserves a spot. I’m trying to resist the +1/+1 counter allure of Fertilid and Corpsejack Menace, but I may end up sticking them in. Sun Titan would also be a welcome inclusion with all the 3 CMC or less enchantments, but each good creature I put in is another card dead to Humility. In a strange twist of fate, Ghave will actually be a 6/6 since Humility makes him a 1/1 with 5 +1/+1 counters, Fertilid will be a 3/3 and Spike Weaver will be a 4/4.
No Mana Reflection? This deck looks incredibly slow (but incredibly awesome) and I think increasing the clock helps.
I don't know how often you play Humility so I don't know how good Luminarch Ascension is here but It's one of my favorite enchantments for a deck like this.

I won on turn 7 after playing Mirari's Wake and playing Night of Souls' Betrayal and Living Plane. Not a typical game, but it can happen quickly. Yeah, Mana Reflection would be good to get there more quickly, but so far I prefer playing it like a control deck, hosing opponents' strategies when they start to build up steam, and then winning with a lot of tokens or planeswalker shenanigans.
Luminarch Ascension should probably go in for Sacred Mesa. I like the forced sac that triggers the pact effects off of Mesa, but Ascension is obviously better.
This list is one I've had for a little while and just haven't put up in its finished form.
I'm bad at keeping a change log, but I have changed things up a bit. Added Spike Weaver and Fertilid as they have Ghave's same cool synergy with Humility out.
The new Gideon is good as I usually have fogs or tokens to protect him. Had a game where I would have gotten his ultimate off leaving him at 6 loyalty counters if someone hadn't combo'd off. He may have gotten the bum's rush in constructed, but I like him in EDH.
Been thinking about putting Sun Titan in as he gets so many of my enchantments back, don't know what I'd take out. Also stuck Merciless Eviction in though I haven't used it yet.
Honestly, though, the deck plays really well as is. Humility is amazing of course, but Living Plane is a lot of fun. Probably my favorite card in the deck. Makes me want to add Massacre Wurm and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, but that's a different deck.
I scoped your two stax lists and like them a lot. I recently got a Glissa and have been wondering what to do with her. She seems perfect for stax.
Interesting take on enchantment control. I like it, no Smokestack or mass Armageddons', and it still works! That's great. How has it played so far?
I'd imagine well while having enchantments to defend your board.
One card I'd suggest especially against us is Aura Fracture; it will literately win you the game if any of us try to cast Armageddon.
There always is at least 3-5 enchantments by the 3rd - 5th turn. Of course, you will need Life from the Loam and/or Crucible of Worlds to make it possible to recur your lands continuously.
Island Sanctuary might be another rattlesnake card for this deck or any of your future enchantment-based control decks.
Sun Titan must make the cut David. No excuses, if he survives the round, you're in good shape. If you get Crypt'd, it's still a 6/6 Vigilance creature for 6 mana, that's already good to me.
It's played really well, actually. I've won 2/3 of the games I've played with it, and never gotten blown out. It's biggest weakness is being mana heavy, but with 13 planeswalkers it's hard to avoid that. And the enchantments and fogs are cheap, so they give me an early game presence.
Your suggestions are top notch and ones I haven't heard of. Aura Fracture along with Crucible and Life from the Loam would be good, and the land recursion goes well with Constant Mists. Island Sanctuary deserves some serious consideration... it's only downfall is that the few creatures we see often have flying as there are so few creatures played in our group that people make sure they are ones with evasion.
Martyr's Bond out for Sun Titan? I don't know that I need two grave pacts, and I think I'd get more mileage out of spending 6 for Sun Titan. I've never had Bond out and working for me, but I haven't really missed it. And it seems criminal to have Pernicious Deed and no Sun Titan.

Martyr's Bond only works good on paper and in different metas. Our playgroup is weird, the "broken" spells/creatures are meh, we just shrug it off most the time. The level of understand is what I've missed the last 6 months.
I know, most the creatures we see are Flyers' sorta, but it does stop all the small ground utility creatures from hitting you for more than you want. It stops the Goblin Assault + Sword aggro, isn't that worthy of a deck slot already?
Constant Mist is fantastic choice of deterrence cards, good call David. Its nice to see more people use Buyback cards in their list besides Capsize, Allay and Shattering Pulse.
Hey, love your deck! I am an enchantment lock fan and came accross this list while searching on google. Edh tends to be a format full of artifact ramp, so I find your inclusion of Null Rod to be very intuitive. Good call! I also love the planeswalker sub-theme. Best Ghave deck I have seen, wat more interesting than the average token-combo Ghave lists! Keep it up bro!
