This is my newly constructed Grimgrin deck. It is a flavor deck through and through. Almost every card fits the flavor of the deck, only exceptions being mana rocks and Fact or Fiction.
Reminds me a lot of my original build for Grimgrin, to an extent anyways, as before going combo I started off as tribal and then reanimator.
Some of your land choices are a bit..not so great. I see zero reason to be running Exotic Orchard, for example. No reason to not have Cabal Coffers and Urborg in the deck either. Maze of Ith works amazingly well with Grimgrin. Nether Traitor isn't exactly a zombie, but it (and Reassembling Skeleton) both are excellent fits with Grimgrin and flavorwise I can see them fitting, more or less. Mikaeus should be in here no question about it. You're already running Diregraf Captain and Gravecrawler, throw in Phyrexian Altar for various combo shenanigans (bonus points with your General and Rooftop Storm), which of course opens you up to a few storm-like combos as well (Bitter Ordeal and Tendrils being best, IMO).
My lands are pretty much what I had lying around to be honest. I didn't add coffers because I didn't really know what I would do with that much mana but I probably should still consider it. And the reason Urborg isn't in there is cause I haven't gotten around to buying one, it is definitely something I want to get in there at some point.
Maze of Ith, while a good card, not sure if it really is a good fit. I don't see how exactly it's good with Grimgrin, since it prevents damage it deals, I guess its good to save it?
Nether traitor I won't include for flavor reasons, but reassembling skeleton could fit the flavor bill. If I'm having trouble untapping grimgrin he will be the first card I add.
For Mikaeus, I tend to avoid running legendary creatures that aren't my general in my EDH decks, just cause it seems weird to me. But I think Mikeaus might be good enough for me to break that rule.
As for Phyrexian Altar, my group is pretty casual, and since flavor comes first in this deck I don't want to add a card strictly as a combo piece.
I appreciate all the advice, you definitely gave me some stuff to think about.

Can never have too much mana, and if nothing else just drop a big exsanguinate and win.

Fun fact, you can actually use it after damage has been dealt to your opponent, giving your "doesn't untap under normal circumstances" general a pseudo-vigilance.

Fair enough.

I can understand that, definitely. But yeah, he's really hard to pass up, imagine dropping a board-wipe with this guy and an army of the undead already out, you may lose Mikey but you get all your guys back and empty boards to swing out. Not the best use of him, sure, but it'll do. Also nice when sacrificing things to Grimgrin.

Again, fair enough. Though it can be used for more than combo, it does give you mana of any color, should you need it, and acts as a sac outlet.
I appreciate all the advice, you definitely gave me some stuff to think about.
No problem. Always happy to help out a fellow Grim fan.
You can take a look at the list in my sig for some ideas. It's more 'Halloween' themed rather than pure zombies, but you might be able to pull something.

My apologies, children, for I am afraid I cannot save you all.
You could use a couple board sweepers for resetting the board. Mutilate here is strong with 18 Swamps, and it goes with the theme: zombies, after all, mutilate and rip their victims to bloody bits xD. And the classic all-star Damnation.

I was deciding on my 2nd general, and I think I found it. I also love to build tribal flavorful decks.
Maybe consider Ghoulcaller's Chant or Necrotic Ooze. It and Havengul Lich form a very strong link.
This list is a bit outdated. I'll post newest version tonight.
