Kayla is an elf planeswalker who wields blue, red, and green magic. Possessing no original magic of her own, she has an uncanny knack of being able to replicate nearly anything with what magic she can cast. Whether it be a conjuration, an evocation, a divination, or any other form of magic, she can mirror it with stunning accuracy and power.
A byproduct of the temporal rifts that ravaged the Multiverse after the Phyrexian invasion of Dominaria, Kayla hails from an alternate history where Alara's Sundering split the world along different lines than standard history dictates. In this alternate history, Esper's wildlife runs rampant with no white or black mana to keep it in check. The population disagrees on how to pursue the Noble Work under these harsh conditions, and are at war with independent tribes that live in the lush, filigree forests outside the major cities.
Kayla was greatly opposed to the Noble Work in any form. To her, it was a lose-lose situation for both the Esperites and the wildlife of the plane. First, it would take a massive amount of funds and human resources to carry out the etherium infusions to any reasonable degree of success, mostly for the sake of aesthetics. Second, the Noble Work was so ambitious as to include etherium infusion in wild beasts in its plan. Not only was this unfeasible, but it was also dangerous.
Kayla's Planeswalker Spark ignited when she faded from alternate history into standard history as wizards from all across the Multiverse joined forces in mending and resolving the temporal anomalies that the fracturing timespaces had caused. Her history and magical expertise faded from reality as the history she came from ceased to exist. Having no memories of her past and none of her previous magical talent, she wanders the Multiverse to find a plane in which she can feasibly reconstruct her identity.

"What is it like to face yourself in battle? Anyone who crosses me the wrong way learns exactly what it is like. It is an experience just as frustrating as having no identity of your own. When you have no identity of your own, someone else's identity is better than what you already have. I am you, and I am every friend I have ever met."
If it's not obvious, this is a multiplayer-only deck whose win condition is copying other people's things. It can't win on its own. Okay, I lied. It can win with Biovisionary. But how often will that happen? I wouldn't recommend playing this deck in a game with less than four players.
