I like allies because it seems like everytime you play an ally, it creates "exponential growth" (it isn't but feels like it).. I want to win by just having insane effects from the allies' synergy.
Try Cloudstone Curio. Whenever you play an Ally, you can bounce another to your hand over and over again as long as your mana allows. This allows you to take advantage of the Ally trigger multiple times in a single turn.
You could run Genesis Waveand Primal Surge to help put out a lot of allies at once. Maybe you could even run Warp World. WW is nice because you can benefit from it and it can screw with your opponents. I run all three in my slivers build and they help out a great deal.
if you want great synergy you could play slivers, its fairly cheap and easy to run.
I'd rather play allies though =/. It's a pretty casual deck and I like this deck cause nobody really plays 5 color edh allies. It's more rare than other decks and i was the one who thought up of the list originally. So it's kinda special in that sense. But 1 person can't think of ways to bring out it's true potential. So I ask the edh community to help me.
Since Allies like to swarm and tend to get bigger as you play more, I'd probably go for the aggro route. You'll probably want to have haste enablers since that's usually the first ability that comes to mind when I think "aggro". I think some Flicker effects to abuse the "enter the battlefield" (ETB) triggers of Allies and Clones would be extremely helpful, too.
As for your core Ally package, these are the only ones I could see being decent in EDH:
That gives you a total of 18 possibly useful Allies to work with. And when you toss some Clones in, that number gets bumped up a bit more. Pretty decent IMO considering that a typical EDH deck has about 25 creatures. I feel like this deck would want to be a little creature-heavy though

I understand completely, when i first got into magic i was playing allies and loved it. i tried building a 5C cascading allies and it was fairly decent. you might want to try something like that. i would defiantly recommend having chromatic lantern in your 99 because it helps so much with mana fixing. I would also add dauntless escort in there as well as a sweeper buffer.
How attached are you to Cromat as your general? I would recommend switching to Karona, False Goddess instead. Also, I have an allies deck and I could look through in more depth if you want but one card that has always performed for me if allowed to stick isCall to the Kindred

Then Changelings since they're basically de facto Allies:
