One day I was looking through the magiccards.info database for a new general, and came across this guy. He seemed interesting enough becuase he had an ability that is normally on green creatures. Also it is a general that is not seen everyday.
This deck has already gone through many changes, but I would like to ask the MTGS EDH (I refuse to call it commander) Community for any advice or suggested changes.
The main goal of this deck is basically play politics until the perfect time to take out everyone.
With that being said, any comments/questions/suggestions?
Terminus
Temporal Mastery
Devastating Tide
Angelic Armaments
Cavern of Souls
4/18/12
- Barter in Blood
+ Austere Command
4/17/12
- Shadowmage Infiltrator
+ Sakashima the Imposter
Reason: I think Sakashima will have more use than the Infiltrator
And finally the stuff from the new set Avacyn Restrored
Avacyn, Angel of Hope
Cathars' Crusade
Arcane Melee
Tamiyo, the Moon Sage
Griselbrand
Killing Wave
Korlash, Heir to Blackblade (could clone, unsummon, then Grandeur) - Not exactly sure how I can clone this guy since it is legendary, but anyway, it would only be good if I or someone else has Urborg out.
Thanks for directing me here. We seem to have a similar fundamental approach--slow control followed by a late-game flourish of Dakkon beatdown. Here's some stuff that's different about my list that you may be interested in:
--Reverse the Sands Pretty silly in its own right, the main reason I run it is to punish infinite life combos (ThopterSword + Infinite Colorless Mana, &c). We may be playing a fair deck, but that doesn't mean we can't take advantage of people who aren't
--Prahv, Spires of Order The six-mana activation cost seems ridiculous at first, but bear in mind it can stop a couple things that are normally difficult to interact with--Niv-Mizzet + Curiosity and Hexproof Voltron setups (since it doesn't target) come to mind.
--Obsidian Battleaxe This may be redundant with Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots, but its ability to turn 3-hit kills into 2-hit kills has been relevant for me in the past.
--Dreamscape Artist Would require you to slot a lot more basics in, so may be a bit labor-intensive, but I figured that if you didn't know about this guy then you should. Has worked out very well in my deck alongside Crucible of Worlds, Unburial Rites, Mystical Teachings, and Snapcaster.
--Soratami Rainshaper Does a few things reasonably well. Flying makes her a decent sword wielder, she can Shroud Dakkon and, most notably, can protect things like Maze of Ith from destruction and give you repeated Bojuka Bog activations.
"You know Manningham's story of the burgher's wife who bade Dick Burbage to her bed after she had seen him in Richard III and how Shakespeare, overhearing, without more ado about nothing, took the cow by the horns and, when Burbage came knocking at the gate, answered from the capon's blankets: William the conqueror came before Richard III."
No thoughts on crisis or fact or fiction ? Fact looks like an auto include here for sure . Crisis can be a little too cutthroat for some but vs any u/g/b decks it's a mind twist on crack. Fact is just like the blue draw staple. Mana drain might be out of budget but also auto if you can get one in your budget. As for cuts for my adds keiga tide star seems weak in this deck I don't like wrexial id rather memory plunder remand seems meh to me becuase it's multiplayer the list looks very solid in general
Land Tax is fantastic, even with only six basics :P. Rings is meh, same with Sacred Ground. Lastly I don't think I need all of those artifact tutors, since I already have a lot of tutors that can search for anything.

All of these cards seem great, but incredibly narrow. The land I probably will not put in since 1) It activation cost is high and 2) I have no place to put it (also honestly, I could careless about infinite life combs since my main win is dealing general damage)

Remand is one of my favorite counterspells in this deck. Not only does it not cost me a card, but it can delay any general and win-cons :P. Mana Drain is just too much cash right now. (plus my friend has one, so if I really wanted it, I could just grab it from him.) Identity Crisis makes me a huge target, rather not do that. Fact or Fiction is cool, but I have better stuff to do then make games last 35 mins longer (if ya know what I mean :P)
Hey, nice looking deck, and I'd love to see the current list. Couple of questions about your deck:
Sword of Light and Shadow - Is there a meta-specific reason for this? The life gain is insignificant, and you don't see to be running enough creatures to get enough value out of the recursive.
Darkwater Catacombs and Skyshroud Expanse - how are these working out for you? I've yet to try them and think they're better than the signets, but too risky early game.

Overall, I'm curious about the early game. I don't see any ramp or much of anything to do until you can start casting your fatties.
Oh this deck has changed into Sen Triplets. I should probably get someone to remove this. But I can answer some of your questions (from when I was playing this deck).
SoLaS - This was just for the protection mostly
Darkwater Catacombs and Skycloud Expanse - I like these a lot better than the signets, less prone to mass destruction. Early game they are bad, but I have not had any problems. I still run them in my current Sen Triplets deck.
Caves of Koilos- Hmm I can't remember what replaced this, oh well.
Oboro- Might seem useless on the surface, but it is Anti-LD as it can bounce itself back if it is untapped. Still run this in Sen Triplets as well.

Sphinx's Herald - I don't run that many creatures, and I can't sacrifice Dakkon to activate it, so no.
Sphinx Ambassador- This one will need some testing, seems it could be a bribery on a stick.
Sphinx Sovereign - See Hearld of Leshrac
Wayfarer's Bauble - I have fetchlands, so probably not.
Korlash, Heir to Blackblade (could clone, unsummon, then Grandeur) - Not exactly sure how I can clone this guy since it is legendary, but anyway, it would only be good if I or someone else has Urborg out.
Sakashima the Impostor - Again, very interesting, need some testing though.
Counterlash - CMC is too high, and it requires me to cast the card for free, so I could be down two cards if someone counters my free spell
Myojin of your colors - Again need some kind of testing.
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite - Eh.. My playgroup plays a lot of big powered creatures so probably not.
Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur - this guy is too mean too play
Sheoldred, Whispering One - Not enough creatures to support it.
Avacyn, Angel of Hope - Too many exile type effects in EDH for this to be useful
Cathars' Crusade - Not enough creatures to support
Arcane Melee - there is another blue deck in my playgroup, so probably not.
Tamiyo, the Moon Sage - For 5 mana, there is probably something better I can do
Griselbrand - Most definitely when he comes out
Killing Wave - Maybe, needs some testing.
Thanks for the suggestions

You are running an equipment package, what about Stonehewer Giant, Steelshaper Apprentice, and Steelshaper's Gift.
