My very first EDH deck was lead by Glissa, the Traitor. Granted, it had very little to do with her ability and more so was focused on playing fatties but, I was new to the format and relatively new to Magic; the deck played cards that I wanted to play therefore I was content.
These days, I think I know a little more, but that is really open to debate. I have put together a new deck staring Glissa--this time with a little bit more attention to using, and abusing her abilities.
Combos aside, I have found that this deck, on a whole functions very nicely together. It can go big in a 1 vs. 1 situation but I tend to play with a group fo 3 or 4 and this deck holds its own nicely in such a situation. Glissa equipped with Thornbite Staff has proven to be an efficient way to keep tables clean.
While it has only happened once, I am very into the possibility of flashing Elbrus, the Binding Blade onto an unblocked attacker via Shimmer Myr. Like I said, it has only occurred once at this point, but that single instance made it all worth it.
My land situation is awfully dull, but I am unsure how best to fix and do not really feel like spending major money on land cards.
As always, comments, suggestions, and criticism are most welcome.
How are you flashing Elbrus onto an attacker? I understand Shimmer Myr giving the card flash, but you can still only equip as a sorcery. Is there an interaction I'm missing? Although that is a beautiful idea, the only way I know of to equip at instant-speed is Leonin Shikari
I would consider cutting Liquimetal Coating. It just seems like it doesn't accomplish much in this deck. I'd replace it with Junk Diver who has been a surprisingly good card in my Glissa deck.
I'm a little confused by the inclusion of Stronghold Overseer....is he just here for big, unblockable beats?
You might think about grabbing some dual lands as well, although I understand that those can be hard to find and/or afford. I don't have access to all the best myself, but you can find some cheap ones that would be beneficial. Gilt-Leaf Palace, Tainted Wood, Vivid Grove, and Vivid Marsh all provide budget mana-fixing. Plus there are other mana generating artifacts like Golgari Signet
Altar of Shadows has fun synergy with Glissa and gives you mana. Same price as the Spine
My initial comments about Elbrus were vague and poorly worded, my mistake. In the scenario I was referring to, my opponent left himself without any blockers at the end of his turn. I was able to put Elbrus into play at the end of his turn and then on my own turn equip Elbrus to Stronghold Overseer and beat away. This interaction is why I initially included Stronghold Overseer, that and his ability to hit often without repercussion. Perhaps he is not the most synergistic choice, but am unsure what to remove him for. Maybe I will replace him for Altar of Shadows... I have a copy of the card, but have never tried to play with it.
I play Phyrexian Furnace because it is both reusable graveyard hate and card draw due to Glissa's ability. I had initially considered Feldon's Cane but that only gets me a one time use and I have tried to build this deck with the plans that I would be using all of the artifacts included multiple times in the game.
Thanks for the mana suggestions. To be honest, I have just been awfully lazy about fixing my lands.

I'd also drop Phyrexian Furnace....maybe to pick up a Feldon's Cane if you are really looking for artifact grave hate.

Liquimetal Coating works nicely with Sylvok Replica allowing me to blow up any card on the field.
