My daughter play magic for 2 years now, she have a Tolsimir deck and a Treva deck, both really casual, she build them both herself, put lots of wolf, angel and pegasus in them
She ask me if she could star playing with us on our EDH night, and finally said ok. She always come with us, sit with me and watch the game, but now, she want some.
So, I talk with her and we decide she need a "special" deck for that, and i think Dosan will work well for her. It will help her following the game, she s very good with her own cards, quickly knowing the name and effect, but with a 5 peoples table, gonna have lots of cards she will not know about. So at least, if everyone play during their turn gonna be easier for her.
So, need your help building a good deck for her, budget is not a problem. No complicated combo, need ramp, big dudes as win con, defense and removal. Beautifull artwork is a nice bonus
akroma's memorial, wurmcoil engine, blanchwood armore, aspect of wolf, yavimaya elder instead of wall of blossoms/carven caratid, regal force, chord of calling to fetch the colossus, exploration/asuza for mana accel?

Akroma's Memorial is a very good idea, im gonna find one for sure and add it to the list.
Yavimaya Elder add, but ill let the wall and the caratid in, she love those cards (you know, the flowers thing).
As for Asuza, i think ill put in the Oracle instead, and if we need more, Exploration will fit right in.
Have to check the mana curve, but Regal Force will probably make it.
oh i forgot to mention fierce empath to search for verdant force or the colossus twins. also, verdant embrace could be used in place of one of the umbras? good to see the family play

Fierce Empath! Ive completly forgot about this one. thx
Also, ill let the umbra in, even if some are not that good, they still protect her creatures against Wrath effect. Will check if i can find place for the embrace.

Here are some cards that are both fun and might make her think a bit-
Crush of wurms- flashback a ton of creatures? Sign me up.
Hunting pack- instant speed creatures and teach her to pay attention to the board. It doesnt work as well with city of solitude but it wont always be on the board.
Terrastrodon- good for teaching multiplAyer politics
Recycle- cheap card draw that can be a ton of fun.
Citanul flute- fetch creatures. If you include a dryad arbor, it can fetch a land for 0 when it comes into play.
Minds eye- more good card draw for green decks.
Harmonize- same thing.
Nantuko vigilante- teaches morph and kills artifacts and enchantments
Krosan cloudscraper- teaches the rest of the table to fear her face down vigilante. Also this was once the biggest creature in the game.
Weatherseed totem- mana accel and efficient beater that gets around wraths
Manlands- stalking stones, treetop village, dryad arbor, mishras factory, blinkmoth nexus etc- more wrath insurance for the creature deck. I would even considr dark depths.
Overall though, have fun and try to think "if i was 8 years old what card would make me freak right the hell out". Put those cards in. Heck, I ran a beta force of nature in my asuza deck just because it was beta.

Weve try the deck last night, and she had lot of fun putting the Avenger of Zendikar in play knowing i was unable to counterspell it... She even rename her commander Master Shifu..:)
Mmmm... according to what you put in your post, your daughter likes angels. Well, I got a new friend for her: Platinum Angel =). That can be a good addition to this deck, because you already lock counterspells with the general out, you drop this Angel, and put A LOT of pressure on your opponents. Say, if you have Lightning Greaves on it, it becomes more than a threat (and Greaves fills nice in any deck).
Also, if she can pay mana for Darksteel Plate, she can do it for Argentum Armor. Seriously, that card is nuts: +6/+6 and permanent poppin' each time the equipped creature swings?.
Also, I like when boys/girls of that age play MTG. Such a good game on an early age, trains their strategic thinking, much like chess n_n.
