After playing Blatant Theivery in my Tibor and Lumia deck, I found that I really like stealing peoples creatures. So I decided to build a deck around that theme. The deck I came up with focuses on taking creatures using spells like Act of Treason to grab creatures for a turn, then either saccing them with one of my various engines, or keeping them with my Bazaar Trader.
I chose Thraximundar as a commander mostly for the colours. We switch between Commander and 100 Card Singleton formats in my area, so I usually pick a Commander for its colour. However, the amount of sacrifice effects I run works really well with him, and I like being able to drop him after I've nabbed an opponents creature and make them sac another one when I attack.
I think the deck still needs a bit of work, especially with the mana base. I haven't added Treachery, Bribery, or Desertion simply due to the cost. If the deck works out, ill probably shell out for them, but I don't want to make the investment on a deck that may not work out for one reason of another.
Cards I'm considering adding
Phyrexian Altar -Another Sac Engine. The mana is nice, but I kind of feel its a waste of a creature Juxtapose - Was just recommend to be. Seems like a great card, especially once i've used up an ETB creature. Archeomancer or Izzet Chronarch- Get some cards back. Might be a bit weak though. Rune-scarred Demon or Demonic Tutor - I like these cards, but I don't know what to tutor for. Tunnel Vision - Lots of people play Vessel of Endless Rest in my area. Kind of useless without it though Control Magic - Is cheaper than Mind Control, but Mind Control costs less. Decisions, Decisions. Empress Galina - Only affects Commanders. On the other hand, steals Commanders
Feedback and Recommendations are welcome. I'd like to get this deck sorted before I go off and get all the parts, since I may have to order a few of them online. Edit: I've taken most of the Sac and all the Lifegain out of the deck. need to add about 11 cards. What I want to do with this deck control both the field and my opponents.
