Ivan is a human planeswalker deeply rooted within the ways of the Selesnya Conclave, well-versed in green and white magic. His specialties include the magic of community and subdual--after seeing the legions of nature he has at his fingertips, many foes lay down their arms and add their ranks to his. Recently, though, he has been experimenting with blue magic after the crash of the Parhelion and the collapse of the Guildpact.
A major player toward the end of the Ravnican Civil War, Ivan led the charge against the Golgari Swarm and Cult of Rakdos, his sliver lion steed Sky's roar a battle cry to raise their morale. Dozens of ledev raised the banner of the Conclave, hundreds of saprolings and other forms of animated plant life joining the charge. It was a bloodbath--the Conclave only had the advantage through sheer numbers. He lost many of his friends during the days the battle raged.
The civil war and the dissolution of the Guildpact sent Ivan flying into despair. All the people he had saved while in service of the Conclave...now that the guild had fallen apart, was it all for nothing? No, it couldn't possibly be. Though the guild had fallen apart in name, its ideals lived on in him. The trauma of losing everything important to him followed by the epiphany that it all merely lived on inside him awakened him to the presence of other worlds, the Planeswalker Spark flaring within him. Even with this new power at his fingertips, he has no desire to planeswalk until at least a working shadow of the Ledev Guardians functioned on the streets of Ravnica again.

"A warrior who flaunts his own power is foolish. A warrior whose power rests within his allies is wise and truly strong. The most powerful warriors are those who fight for each other. A leader cannot be truly effective without the people he leads. Followers are lost without something or someone to unite under. These are all corollaries of the principle Mat'selesnya founded the Conclave on. What we can do together exceeds what all of us can do on our own."
Hello. I am interested in how much success you have had with this deck.
I am stubbornly in the process of making an non-combo, Bant, Enchantment deck (unless Bruna is considered a combo) and was toying with the idea of a token subtheme. Opposition seems like such a powerful enchantment...and I already have several ways to make tokens. I performed well with my deck the other night against some casual players one of whom was playing a mill deck which helped a great deal.

You say you have an enchantment subtheme. Are you capitalizing on having enchantments in any way? I have argothian enchantress, enchantress's presence and sigil of the empty throne.
