This is a fairly new concept I've been brewing up, and that I'm actually really excited about. The basic idea is to control the board, draw lots of cards, suit Ashling up, and get there via commander damage. The deck is still in its infancy, and any and all suggestions as to improvements that could be made (please relate both what you might add and what you would cut to make room for it) would be much appreciated!
Very interesting general choice. I like it a lot. Maybe something like Cover of Darkness to help her get through with damage? Not sure how elemental/black heavy your meta is so ymmv.

I wonder if CoD is better or worse than things like Trailblazer's Boots for unblockability and/or Sword of Vengeance/Loxodon Warhammer for trample. Ashling is almost certainly the only elemental and the only shaman I'm going to be playing, so CoD will only effect her. On the other hand, CoD represents a much smaller mana investment than equipments that produce comparable effects, particularly if Ashling gets removed and has to be replayed/re-equipped, etc. I'll have to mull that one over...
I contemplated that. I just wonder how many colorless-producing lands I can get away with running. I already have 7, I believe, which is a higher number than I'm usually comfortable with...

I was going to suggest them as trample equipment, but you already have the good ones I know of :P. The boots are never really a bad thing either. I'd suggest the swords of X and Y if you had them too, but I assume this deck wouldn't be a priority for them.

I've been going back and forth on SoXaYs here. FaI, FaF, and WaP could all be useful, I think. The downside to FaF is actually that it gives pro black, which would kind of screw up my plans to drop massive Hatreds or Howl from Beyonds on Ashling. The same thing goes for Lighning Greaves (shroud), which is why I opted for Champion's Helm (hexproof) instead. I'm still on the fence about Swiftfoot Boots, although I think I should probably run them.

I originally had Whispersilk Cloak in here, but it has the same problem as Lightning Greaves, namely that it prevents me from pulling off combat tricks with Hatred and the like. I think I prefer both Shizo, Death's Storehouse and Trailblazer's Boots as sources of pseudo-unblockability over Dauthi Embrace, although it's not a bad suggestion and definitely merits consideration.
