Being able to do that once a turn is a great power. But if you can do it multiple times a turn, you'll crush the field.
So here it is. The second edh deck I started working on (although it was the third I actually finished, some of these cards took a long time to get my hands on!) This is by far my most competitive edh deck, and puts up a good fight in both multiplayer and 1v1 (though I prefer multi). Any who, here we go.

This general looks bad ass i gonna give you some suggestions even though a 7 mana general with that many draw backs is gonna be tough we can make it work!
Im gonna guess that your building somewhat on a budget running cards like touch of death and taste for blood which we are going to cut because they are not helping us at all!
To be honest there are alot of pretty subpar cards in this list so im going to start cutting without speaking on the cuts unless i feel i need too. I will just explain the addition most of the time
-Blood Artist
+Everflowing chalice - Cheap card good mana ramp you have none and you need alot to make your cmc 7 general work as well as get mileage out of your drains.
- DreadCacodemon - To much mana and you dont have ramp lets fix both
+ Sol Ring - This one is not as cheap but with the printing of it in commander and being a common its not the expensive this card will go in every edh deck you ever build and is great with a general at a daunting 7 mana
-Evernight Shade
+ Worn powerstone @ 1$ or Jet Medallion at 5$
- Falkenrath Noble
+ Thousand-Year Elixer - Awesome with your general pretty cheap
- mindrot
+ Mindtwist / myojin of night's Reach - Twist is just better but myojin "ENDS" games
- Ichor Explosion
+ damnation/ decree of pain/ blacksun zenith/ mutilate etc etc as budget alows
-Touch of Death
+ Caged Sun - 1 doller mana doubler
- Taste of blood
+ Sanguine Bond - instant win with damage if you have your exquisite blood out
- hideous end
+ Necropotence wroth the 4-5 bucks its amazing
- Demons Horn
+ Phyrexian arena - card advantage black staple hit your land drops and get the general online faster

I definately agree with all of those cuts/additions. At least half the cards you suggested were on my original list, but got cut just because I couldn't find them available in my trading pool. And basically all the cards you cut were my filler cards thrown in to make the deck legal
