So in my EDH-fever I demolished my UW-Wizard/Merfolk deck to make more EDH decks! Too bad Azami isn't UW, but she's better than the Wizards who are...So, mono-U it is!
If you are running extraplanar lens you should run Snow-cover islands, so you are the only that benefists out.
Maybe because my Azami deck is designed to do something totally different, but i dont see the point of the deck, but make big Wizards by Coats of Arms and Doors of Destenies
For me Wizards are made to do trickery and not to attack. And if they do, they do one whole swing FTW.
As an advice, let the wizards do the drwing, bouncing, and disrupting, and cut many cards that would be redundant.
Flow of ideas, Honde, Fact of Fiction(maybe), Distant melody, Opportunity, long-term plans, impulse, crafty pathmage, nameless one, information dealer, Telemin performance, Cryptic gateaway...
You can check my listo to see if any cards that i use could fit your deck, but the way i run it I barely have drwing, or ponder effects cards. Most of the wizards i run do trickery and they help me battle around until i put down locks...and do the one swing kill.

True, but I only own exactly 1 Snow-Covered Island, but happen to have a few dozen foil Onslaught Islands. That is the main reason I don't play the snowy lands...If I have enough of them I'll switch.

I must admit, that was the point of the deck I razed to create this one. I also thought it would be a bit more interactive than ONLY drawing cards. It's a fun multiplayer deck

I think you have it right, but I like the idea of wizards hitting people in the head But I'll look at other decks for inspiration!
Now that is a good idea. It didn't even occur to me that all my Wizards are already carddrawing engines Thanks!

I know it's a good card, but is it THAT good in EDH? Multiple opponents, not THAT much creatures on the board...
Opposition is really good!!!...It helps you control things that are anoying you. Also, it serves as a second Azami(It helps you tap your wizards for a good benefit) When you combine Azami or opposition with wizards like Surgespanner or Fallowsage is really fun times.
might I suggest reminisce or feldon's cane over mnemonic nexus? that way you'll e the only one getting your graveyard back. Otherwise, love the deck. Wizard tribal is the bomb.

Thanks! I love Wizard Tribal as well I will add the Cane or Reminisce instead of the Nexus, but the Nexus was the only card I could find in my collection.
I'm not that big a fan of the Adept. Ok, bouncing is nice, but I hardly play any counters, so one turn later the scary thing I bounced is back and I only have a 2/2 dork...the Field I looked at...not really excited, but I'll think about it again Thanks!
EDIT: Hmm, this thread was never moved to the correct forum...*rings a mod*
I think that if you are playing mono blue then you should play counters. There's a bunch to choose from and even some that work well with the wizard creature type. Also, why not play spell book and mind over matter and a laboratory maniac. That combo alone is a win.
Haha, multiplayer wizards that isn't all combo all the time. I've got a similar deck so I'll offer up some advice. Mine is lead by Rayne but the general idea is the same.
As has been said you don't need that many draw spells as Azami should refill your hand the moment she hits play. I'd through in a few counterspells, possibly just the free ones as Azami draws all sorts of hate. Oh and Forbid, card is amazing. If you'd like to go aggro I'd suggest more lord effects, caged sun, and Eldrazi Monument let you go agrro when you don't need any more cards. But for that to work you'll need more creatures. There are a few blue creatures that can pump out tokens and Barrin, Master Wizard with tokens can soft lock decks. One last thing, as blue decks tend to be light on creature based recursion try out Back from the brink. Sounds dumb but the difference between getting a second cast out of a creature and shuffling it in your deck and hoping to draw it is huge.
I'm not really a big fan of counters, just a few like Spelljack and Commandeer :). But I really should update my deck! It's already updated since the one in the first post, but I really like Laboratory Maniac as an alternate wincon :D.

EDIT: Incidentally, the Mnemonic Nexus does double duty - it's both anti mill for you and graveyard hate for them.
Aether Adept and Dissipation Field.
I didn't own a Venser at the time the deck was made. In the mean time I did find one and he's 'shaping' up the deck quite nicely
