The point of the deck is to abuse Endrek's ability to make 1/1's which you can sacrifice for any amount of fun effects.
Grave Pact leads to opponents sacrificing their creatures while I lose thrulls. Sadistic Hypnotist keeps opponents without cards in their hands. Conspiracy allows to have any amount of thrull's, negating Endrek's 7 thrull limit. Phyrexian Alter and Ashnod's Alter can allow me to play multiple beaters per turn. Skullclamp is just silly with this many disposable 1/1's Black Market and Exsanguinate can lead to a serious precombat hit to an opponents life total.
It's a pretty reliable build, works both in multiplayer and 1v1. Multiplayer is way more fun when you get gravepact going though

i used to have him built and i was running Tar Fiend, i comes in as a 16/16 and someone has to discard 6 cards, assuming you only sacrifice the tokens Endric makes. Bitter Ordeal can be very good to if your meta has a lot of combo. Gate to Phyrexia is about the only black artifact hate. hecatomb is something that no one sees comming and can get really dumb late game.
I have a tar fiend, and I've been toying with the idea of using it. I'm just never sure what to take out for it.
The other three suggestions look nasty, Bitter Ordeal would have come in handy in a game I played the other day, and Hecatomb could definitely be a late game threat.
I don't feel like Abyssal Persecutor is that great in EDH, a 6/6 flyer is only ok in this format, at least Tar Fiend might just be an upgrade. You could also probably cut either Bone Shredder, Go for the Throat, Shriekmaw or Nekrataal sense you are running Butcher of Malakir, Attrition, and Grave Pact. I find that in this deck creature based things are better for the engines in the deck so maybe Go for the Throat or Cruel Edict. Between Grave Pact and Butcher of Malakir i never had issues dealing with creatures so maybe look at Bone Shredder, Go for the Throat, Shriekmaw or Nekrataal if you want some spots. Also Flesh-Eater Imp can be a good win condition. Play him make the four dudes, next turn sac the dudes to him and play something that costs for or more for a 10/10 infect flyer. If you need some targeted discard mind slash is your best bet. Also, i ran a lot of sac outlets and ways to deal with my tokens so i cut Conspiracy after i felt that i was able to always kill my tokens before they killed Endrek. Also, no Cabal Coffers?
I'm trying out Dark Impostor instead of Shreikmaw. As I see it, shreikmaw comes in and Terrors, then doesn't do much. Dark Impostor can at least exile multiple creatures, without the black and artifact restrictions. He can also work well with Black Market late game.
Fallen Ideal looks interesting, but I personally prefer to not swing with Endrek. However, Malevolent Awaking is interesting, as of now I only have Hell's Caretaker to bring creatures back. Could be worthwhile!

Malevolent Awakening wasn't bad either, a slightly more expensive (although less painful) Phyrexian Reclamation. Gate to Phyrexia was already mentioned, and it's great for mono-Black. You'll always have something to sacrifice for Helm of Possession. I also enjoyed Minions' Murmurs, but that's because I like cards no one plays with.

Swapped Consume Spirit for Exsanguinate. Another great one to pair with Black Market.
Swapped out the Hexproof mask for Swiftfoot Boots. They're cheaper, simple as that.
Threw in Increasing Ambition for some extra tutoring. It's not the best, but late game it could be useful.
And, as suggested, Hecatomb, Mind Slash, and Bitter Ordeal have been placed.
