This is my attempt at my meta gaming without cheating too much, so that means no blue or black in my general colour indenitiy. I've built RWG decks in the past and I've always been disappointed in how it performed. The lack of card advantage is what bugged me the most, but since my collection has gotten larger. It is now possible for myself to make a Naya deck that has the possibility of keeping up.
My thought process is if they can't do anything, I have a chance of catching up and occasionally winning a few games here and there. In no way is this deck designed to win; it more of a fun project honestly and mostly, I get to play Gaddock Teeg and Aura Shards in the same deck. Those two cards have always killed me the past games, so for once, it's on my side of the field. Also, I've lost too many times to random hate bears, most specifically, Samurai of the Pale Curtain, so I have to try this strategy at least once.
I'm testing to see if I can even keep this deck together for more than 2 weeks and to see if non-U or B control decks work in EDH. I'd be proud of myself I could accomplish this goal.
Of course if it just flops in games against them, I'm going back to the same old strategies of Salvaging Station, Smokestack bases. This time, I will actually be able to upkeep Smokestack without too much trouble.
I've decided to make a deck that hates out every aspect of my meta which is with Galspanic, Surging Chaos and others within my area. I will give creature based lock out strategies a chance before I claim that it's ineffective.
My goal is to make play like a blue-based control deck without having actual Islands' in the deck.
The deck list will come in the near future and incomplete which means the release of the new set might make me change my final verdict of how I want my list to look. The list you're about to look at is in mostly alphabetical order and in converted mana cost (cmc) ranging from lowest to highest.
Firstly, what is the rest of your mana base? Secondly, I think you have to many activated artifacts to go with rod, and not enough to go with canonist. Phyrexian revoker is another card that may be of Use to you.

There's a guy in my local meta that has done the same thing in our 6-man+ games. He doesn't have much fun because he can (apparently) only build these kinds of decks that grind the game to a halt. Usually, once he rolls out the fun police, the game quickly becomes a 5-on-1 and just as quickly becomes a 5-way game.
Tread carefully the road to hate-town, friend - playmates can be the vengeful sort.

What do you think about Scavenging Ooze ? Or Stoneshaker Shaman
I'm not trying to build the deck around Null Rod, it's just another hate card that shuts most our games down. I understand I have many artivations, but I'm not playing blue, so I won't always have it out early.
I'm not 100% on my land base. I still need to trade for 2/3 Revised duals, Treetop Village and Lorwyn Filter land, so I can access my land base and see where it lacking in colour sources.
On the topic of Canonist, she is just another hate bear that slows the game down enough. I've been in games against it and it's shut me out of the game really early, so I wanted to giver her a shot. She's another hate bear that has a passive ability.
Fierce Empath is amazing and it dies to Skullclamp I run these types of cards for a reason. It is nice to have 2 copies of Godo and Sun Titan for a deck that has literately no tutors that won't lose you games like Tooth and Nail, Primal Command, Chord of Calling to name some. Copy spells are too common in my games, so I'd rather not give my opponent a free Tooth and Nail, so they can...win.
Stoneshaker Shaman is amazing. I need to get a copy now and The Ooze, I will pass on. I find it better to use artifact crypts over creature crypts. He'll draw me even more hate than I already get.
I just find the fact you run three rods, and have that many artifact disturbing.
If you run forest duals, Arbor Elf may have a place in this deck, as opposed to the pilgrim. Considered winter orb? Or Cataclysm?
I am eager to see how if this pays off!
I just need to acquire those forest duals, but I do have Plateau. Artifacts run my meta, so I have to be able to deal with them.
I need to pick up Winter and Cataclysm because they definitely make the cut.
I can always test it with proxies if I can't get the cards for in the next few weeks, but I'm not one for using proxies though.
I was doing research on Naya Edh, and I've seen zero decks like this. They are all ramp and big dumb creatures, almost to the point where it can be counted as critter Edh.
I know I'm not doing anything too different from what I usually play, but I guess in a way, I'm being "different" with my approach with Naya...Naya Null Rod Aggro-Stax
I would add scavenging ooze - best graveyard hate in maverick like decks, green sun's zenith and dryad arbor. Winter orb and cataclysm seem useful as well. With your amount of artifacts/activated artifact abilities null rod and kataki and similar cards seem a bit suspect. I would cut the artifact graveyard hate, kill switch, all of the equipment except for skullclamp and sword of feast and famine (add batterskullwhich works well with godo), and the artifact mana so that this is less of a problem. Your deck also really wants colored mana, so I would add chrome mox/mox diamond instead of mana vault. Eladamari's call tutors for any creatures.
As a sidepoint: I'm not sure how attached you are to playing red in the deck - as both captain sisay and sigarda, host of herons probably make more useful generals for a maverick type deck than you will find in WGR. Sigarda gives you an efficient win condition which is difficult to remove and sisay allows you to tutor for bombs like gaea's cradle/hokori/kataki/thalia/linvala/gaddock teeg.
A good example is Riley's French EDH Sisay deck: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=359980
So what is your budget? An Imperial Recruiter would add a ton to the deck.
Way over my budget.
I can't justify spending that much on a card that only helps 1 of my decks. If it was Ravages of War, that's another story. I could play that in any of my deck.
I feel like I need more tutors, but I can make space for it. Wordly Tutor and Life from the Loam needs to go in here. I always like to incorporate tutors in all my decks to make mulligans and make bad hands not so terrible.
The trouble with loam, is that you may need to put the cycling lands in as well. Brutal card all in all. I feel wordly needs to be in her as well.
Maybe Gaea's Herald as well? Can you test and give feed back? I mean, knowledge of what the deck needs would help massively.
I will try to get a few games into this week. I will post results. I'm always so shaky on Gaea's Cradle. I've only has success with it in 60 card legacy not Edh.
I have cycling lands set aside. I'd use mostly to recur from land destruction which is very prominent in my playgroup.
My next two suggestions: Ulvenwald tracker and bloom tender. Bloom tender to replace gem hide sliver, as you may help a foe. The other is food for thought.

The list I was working off. Sucks hairy, hairy balls.
The list looks promising, but some of the cards are meta calls. If your playing in my playgroup with Tormod's Crypt, your already behind the game and it's an uphill battle for you. Most the time having an early Crypt will buy you enough time where you can get something going compared to simply over extending early on.
I have to include at least 3 Crypt effects so I can stop recursion plus it's card draw which is always nice. I wish I could use more though because stopping my opponents is more important. By not playing black, I don't have access to Nihil Spellbomb which is the best Crypt ever printed!
I dislike new phrases like "fight, Exile, and Hexproof", I think it's a terrible decision on naming abilities. I try not to include cards with those terrible phrase. New cards for sure aren't going to make my decks better, only old cards can give it a noticeable boost.
Honestly, I might even try Uril the Mistalker. Uril is a 5/5 for 5 mana with Hexproof and draws lots of hate.
I love haterade and Uril drinks a lot of it.
A deck like this should definitely use the general space as a win-con. Uril or Rith seem the strongest (something about making tokens for sac fodder really makes me think it's good).
I will be getting making space for those eventually. At this point, it takes over 20 minutes just to make space for 1 card, so 3 cards will be take a bit longer.
I'm too attached to Red, it's my 2nd favorite colour next to black. At this point, looking at my deck, it's W/ splash R.
The few red cards I have are amazing: Wheel of Fortune, Goblin Welder, Godo, Bandit Warlord, Decimate, Ancient Grudge, Stranglehold, Goblin Assault, Shivan Harvest, Rack and Ruin, (Punishing Fire and Grove of the Burnwillows combo) and soon...Stoneshaker Shaman.
I'm splashing red for removal in a way and it gives me an excuse to use my Plateau.
