Decided i wanted to build an edh deck where the theme is the classic art of turning creatures sideways. Lovisa coldeyes. Threw this together a few days ago.
Coldsteel Heart, Mind Stone, Sol Ring, Dreamstone Hedron, Thran Dynamo: Accel. Mind stone and hedron can also draw cards in a pinch.
Crucible of Worlds: Provides land drops with fetches, damage with mouth of ronom, and reduces the impact of LD. Sword of Fire and Ice, Sword of Light and Shadow, Sword of Feast and Famine, Inquisitor's Flail: General pump, protection, and other effects. SoFaI gets some card draw, or "spot removal." Flail can be a beast, and is almost never bad. Not running SoWaP or SoBaM. BaM's protection could be relevant, but its effects are underwhelming. Mind's Eye, Skullclamp: Card draw? In red? Seems good. Clamp also pumps. Coat of Arms: Pump. This is a little annoying, because you need to know all of the errata'd types on the cards.... Grafdigger's Cage: More necessary hate.
Word of Seizing: Iffy on this. Savage Beating: Double strike and another combat phase? At instant speed? YES. Price of Progress: Really good late game against some decks. Can hit for over 30. Chaos Warp: Tuck generals or other threatening stuffs. You can also warp one of your own cards to save it. Or just hit a mountain if youre bored and have mana.
So far ive won 2 out of 2 3player games on cockatrice. 1st was against Sisay and Glissa the traitor, 2nd was Sakashima and Momir Vig. (Stranglehold won that one for me.)
If there are any obvious cards that i missed (and im sure there are quite a few), please let me know. thoughts and comments are appreciated.
I am in love with this deck. I've wanted to make a deck with Lovisa for some time now. This is awesome. I know it's a bit expensive, but have you thought about including Boldwyr Intimidator? I love the flavor of the card and think it would be fun to see active in EDH. Plus, if you're playing Stranglehold, why not add in Boldwyr Heavyweights? I know it's situational, but it would be oh so fun to play with Stranglehold out.

Intimidator: I was thinking about this guy, but his cost is a big turn off. if i were running more ramp or the majority of my creatures were warriors, I'd probably play it. The unblockability would be sweet.
heavyweights: This would be pretty funny with stranglehold, but having someone pull an ulamog or a blightsteel would suck, and there's only 1 (1/2?) tutor in the deck.
Yeah, the Boldwyr brothers are both problematic in their own way. There's something super cool about them, though, also in their own right. Still, you gotta admit, casting the Heavyweights with a Stranglehold out and no opponents being able to respond (I know, easier said than done) would be purty dang fun.

Markov Blademaster it double strikes and gets larger. At the EOT if Lovisa is in play it should be a 5/5 double strike and it does 7 damage the turn it comes down growing by 2 a turn from there.

Blademaster is nice. Goes with the Falkenrath Marauders. Hopefully Wiz will print more of these weird growing vamps in AVR. In.

Relentless Assault, World at War, Fury of the Horde: Extra combat means extra damage.
Instant (4)
Word of Seizing: Iffy on this.

Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle: The CiP tapped doesnt really hurt much.... And in the long run it can do quite a bit of damage.
Terrain Generator: Early game ramp.
Creatures:
Markov Blademaster,Falkenrath Marauders, Hamletback Goliath, Keldon Warlord, Keldon Marauders, Balthor the Stout, Kamahl, Pit Fighter, Keldon Champion, AErathi Berserker, Barbarian General, Lu Bu, Master-at-Arms: Beats.
