Retooled my Azusa deck with Vorinclex as general:

A small but potentially life saving addition would be Aspect of the Mongoose because I cannot stress enough the level of hate that your general brings.

A suggestion for creatures would be Multani, Maro-Sorcerer particularly for multiplayer.

yea im pretty sure everyone is saving their removal for your general. like even if they are getting beat in the face with a divinity of pride they are still going to save a plow for you.

Agreed that the prospect of effectively running Vorinclex as a general is a dim prospect. He's gonna get hosed.

The best way I can think to get him to stick in mono green is City of Solitude to rule out counters, and Lightning Greaves to give him shroud. I would even consider Darksteel Forge to make the Greaves indestructible. Problem is, you have very few if any ways to tutor/dig for these. The best way I can think is Hermit Druid to hopefully load your bin and then Regrowth, Recollect, Salvage, and Reclaim the peices you need. I suppose if you are ramping like crazy, then Planar Portal is an option too.

More buffs include Eldrazi Monument, Darksteel Plate, and Akroma's Memorial to protect from black spot removal and red burn.

Vorinclex is going to need alot of support.

Yeah, I just updated the deck a couple days ago. Decklist is in OP. I'll probably switch it around here in a couple days depending on what cards I can pick up.

I have a Darksteel Plate, City of Solitude, and Dosan the Falling Leaf that I was thinking about adding.

Put Lightning Greaves in.

Also looking into Canopy Cover and Asceticism.

really you need a shroud source that can activate at instant speed or is always on(ascetisim) and then something to protect him from wraths.

Yeah, I'll probably pick up a Stonewood Invocation at my LGS this weekend. Also looking at Withstand Death and probably going to put Spearbreaker Behemoth back in.

Put the Behemoth back in as well as Vigor and Darksteel Plate.

Sounds like the deck is shaping up nicely to protect Vorinclex. Would like to hear how he does next time you play..

I was wondering what you thought of Cloudstone Curio? How well does it work in the deck?

Eye of ugin is very powerful in a ramp dec, gets sundering titan, kozilek, butcher of truth, steel hellkite etc.
