Stax is, in all likelihood, my favorite strategy in the history of magic. Thus it is only natural that when i saw Sheoldred, Whispering One spoiled I was about as excited as a person can be. I mean she is the perfect general for a stax strategy. It also worries me as well since Braids, Cabal Minion is in fact banned and even though Sheoldred is more costly, it also turns the drawback completely around.
Obviously the basic idea is to set up stax and recursion cards and then win through mostly pure attrition. But some notable synergies are....
1. Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed + Sheoldred, Whispering One = I get to return any black card I want from my graveyard every turn.
2. Hell's Caretaker + Enters the Battlefield put creatures into play trigger card in play and in graveyard = Infinite recursion. I don't understand how this guy doesn't get more love, I mean he is like a Goblin Welder for creatures which could in some instances actually be better IMO. Great card in this deck because it allows for a lot of fodder for my stax effects.
3. The usual infinite mana combos with Deserted Temple, Cabal Coffers, and Rings of Brighthearth. Same old boring stuff.
Now this decklist is by no means tight but I think it is a good base to start from. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
I could see Animate Dead and Necromancy in this build. I've always found low cmc reanimations that can utilize any graveyard to be very useful. I would expect most players will try to remove Sheoldred, Geth, Chainer, and Coffin Queen. The sorceries give you another route.
I would recommend Damnation over Plague Wind here too, although your ramp does look pretty good. 9 cmc is just so brutal.

Yeah your right in regards to removal, i'm going to have to probably remove some of the more vulnerable permanents for things like lightning greaves.
