MTG Salvation

I am really interested in making a deck primarily based around Mirror-sigil Sergeant wins. Why? Because I like the card The deck must be UW obviously, and I'm thinking bant as it brings extra creature tutoring. The first question is what general to use. I'm thinking Ragnar to help keep my first Sergeant alive.

Basically, a bunch of clone effects is what I'm going for
Thoughts and ideas?

Maybe rhox theme since you added the green?

I'd suggest Copy Enchantment, Clone-style effects and Chronozoa for major lul factors. Depending on the speed in which you generate your copies, Mosswort Bridge and Windbrisk Heights seem wise land choices too.

As for a General, I just looked at the database and I'm really surprised at how few WUG legends there are. Ragnar is fine here.

Also, there arent too many soldiers in blue or green so I personally would stray from Soldier Tribal. But that's just me.

Have a blast deckbuilding this! Seems to have potential.

I've never seen Chronozoa before, thanks for pointing it out! I'll sift through all the clone-ers and see what I like most

Would a morph subtheme be too much?

Don't forget Followed Footsteps and Parallel Evolution.

Any more good ideas? I also need to cut some things for ramp, what would you suggest?

myr propagator fits the theme of cards that make copies of themselves. And also opalescence is great with doubling season and the aforementioned followed footsteps. With doubling season enchanted, you get sick amounts of copies of it because each one stacks with each other.

My only thing about a morph subtheme would be that face-down permanents are colorless while face-down, thus not really helping the Sergeant much.

I could see a slight enchantment subtheme though. I really like that new card Crescendo of War, as well as things like Aura Shards and Awakening Zone (since you'll want disruption against enchantments that keep searching libraries from happening, and possibly a hefty supply of ETB effects. To that end I like Martyr's Bond). Even adding in things to protect you like Propaganda and Ghostly Prison would be wise.

It works if you have Paradox Haze out, but only for the 2nd upkeep

If anyone ever gets Opalescence out with a Doubling Season enchanted with Followed Footsteps then they win the internet, lol.

First upkeep: 1+2 = 3 Doubling Seasons
2nd: 3+8 = 11 ds
3rd: 11+2^11 = 2059 ds
4th: 2059+2^2059 ds (very large number. For reference 2^100 = 1.2676506e30)

If you did this in MTGO you'd probably break the game
