For a while I've wanted to make a Stangg deck. I realize that he's terrible, but I just love that card with its mixture of hilarious art, terribleness and bizarre flavor while still being a badass. Since he's a warrior and I wanted a theme for the deck, I decided to go R/G warrior tribal with cards that scream "gratuitous violence" (including, of course, Gratuitous Violence). I'm also trying to keep in-theme by not using cards that sound pacifistic or too far from burning and maiming (so no Harmonize, Cultivate and such). The idea is just dumb beatdown, you play a bunch of warriors and try to mow people down with multiple combat phases.
Unfortunately that isn't the best strategy for multiplayer (the only format I play). Wrath effects are particularly backbreaking. I realize that the deck could only be so good with these limitations, but I was wondering if there's something awesome that I'm missing out on?
As a finisher, Tears of Rage is even better than Berserk, in my opinion. It's very flavorful, too.
Cauldron of Souls might not be very flavorful, but it will help to protect against wrath effects.
Also, although she isn't a warrior herself, Wort, the Raidmother produces warriors, and her conspire ability fits thematically with Stangg's self-copying ability (although I'm not sure that you have enough spells that are actually worth copying, as conspiring a Savage Beating doesn't get you anywhere)
Tears of Rage is good, and Cauldron of Souls is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I agree about Wort probably not having enough good targets for Conspire, but she's on theme and puts a few warrior bodies on the table. At the very least she's probably worth replacing some of the less EDH-friendly stuff like Skarrgan Pit-Skulk, I think I'll add her in.

The CIPT lands haven't bothered me much. Since I have almost an even split between R/G, the fixing helps a lot. Also, my meta doesn't run a must-kill enchantments, but they love artifacts; that's why I went with Ancient Grudge over Hull Breach.
In other news, I got a chance to playtest a bit today. Here's what I found out:
1) The deck is fun to play. Forcing yourself and your opponents into scenarios involving actual combat math is a nice departure from everyone trying to draw a lot of cards and "go off" for the win. It's an honest days work compared to a lot of the decks I normally see (and play).
2) Despite picking him for comedy value, Stangg's twin actually makes him a pretty good general in a tribal setting. He gets double duty out of "tribe matters" cards like Coat of Arms, Door of Destinies, Bramblewood Paragon, etc. The twin also makes him weaker than normal to spot removal though, since things like Lightning Greaves don't actually give him shroud :(.
3) The Berserk-like effects were fun, but I don't feel like the deck has enough card advantage opportunities to be able to throw away creatures like that. Usually I would Berserk/Tears of Rage, kill one person, then be out of steam. On the flip side, Cauldron of Souls was awesome and I was always happy to have it. Especially the one time I got it out with Bramblewood Paragon.
I'll post an updated deck list a bit later. I think I'll try to move away from the one-shot effects like Berserk, flavorful as they may be, and move toward some more card advantage and late-game viability.
