Finally! I have crafted my first EDH deck, with my favorite hero as its General. As of now it has quite a bit of Chaos causing cards to make the board unstable for those trying to be passive and help support the aggressiveness that it will bring to the table. All the while i can begin to assault the nearest person. In the end this deck is meant to bring the pain and fun.
I'd like to get your guy's opinion of good cards i should swap in or how lame this deck is
just looking at this right now your rise of the hobgoblins is illegal I believe as it has a white symbol in it's casting cost (unless this rule switched?).
Inferno It is sort of like an instant speed wrath. It feels very similar to Route for white.
Rage Reflection it completely removes the issue of your commander's one toughness. It also allows him to swing in for 12 damage which is totally sexy.
Starstorm another great instant speed type wrath effect. Clearing the board for your commander to haste his way in.
Word of Seizing much better theft than a few you are currently using. It has instant speed and cannot be reacted to due to the split second. It can be used to steal a creature duing an attack and block other creatures off with it or just jack someone's commander. Very useful for commanders that someone might like to react to your hate spells.
Chandra Nalaar she isnt too interesting for mono red. I would suggest either Koth or Ablaze. Koth is very very aggressive to beat down on slower decks and achieve his emblim. Ablaze is fun because you can drop her, and torch everyones hand bringing everyone down to an even 3 cards. Very useful for if you get off to a good start or someone taps out to draw a ton of cards.
Game of Chaos I guess if you like chaos go for it. I hate these sort of cards personally but to everyone their own I suppose.
Elixir of Immortality lifegain isnt impressive in EDH. The chance of drawing what you shuffle back in with this card is very slim. If you are running this to stop mill strategies you are probably better off just using something like Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre or Kozilek, Butcher of Truth for their shuffle clauses.
Final Fortune Extra turns are cool... dying at the end... not so cool. I dont think it is worth it. You might have to sit on this all game some games. Sure it is a bit of a chaotic little card but it is tough to make it ever count.
Breath of Fury the only time I have ever seen this used is in a kiki-jiki combo deck. I dont see it being very effective. I think there are better cards than this for your deck to run.
Search for Survivors you are running a fairly low creature count to make this work very often. I would just take it out.
I could go through your creatures too... but about half of them need to be removed for better ones. If you want more advice on them let me know and I can get you a list together of good options and what could be cut for them.
I have plenty of other suggestions as well for you but I will see if you like my ideas before I continue.
