Nintendo jokes aside, this is a pretty straightforward deck. Draw a million cards, make your hand size unlimited, play Soramaro, smashy smash smash. I figure even if I fail to connect with the general, I'll be able to overwhelm my opponents with my superior draw power.
Any other ideas for this style of deck are welcome, and thanks in advance!
seems like niv-mizzet would be a better general if youre going for the card draw thing but if you go this way you should play halimar depths. seems like a really good land to bounce.
@auhosj877 Niv Mizzet, the Firemind would definitely be a better general, but I've already got some solid, competitive commander decks in Intet the Dreamer and Captain Sisay. Soramaro, First to Dream, like Bosh, Iron Golem and Phelddagrif, presents a challenge to use a less than broken general to the best of it's ability. Oftentimes I'll find that a general is much better than it seems on paper, especially with the right support! Besides, something like Niv-Mizzet draws a lot of hate for it's expected combo potential. Soramaro will fly a little further under the radar (even if I have a twenty card hand)
You did, however, give me a great idea with Halimar Depths, so I took a look at some more nonbasics and added them into the mix, and fixed the ramp situation to reflect the fewer islands in the main. So...
Glacial Chasm is especially exciting, with my general always able to return it to my hand when I need to attack, or when the cumulative upkeep gets crazy. Oboro and Ghost Town can also cheaply pump Soramaro.
