After hearing about the Tazer combo (Spellbinder and Savage Beating) a while ago, I finally decided to build an EDH deck around it. I picked Ma Chao not for his horsemanship, but his unblockable-exalted, and because he's from a set that doesn't get a whole lot of attention nowadays.
I tried to put as much card advantage/tutoring as I could extract from red in order to be able to pull off Ma's Tazer moderately consistently, but I'm not sure how well it'll work since I haven't tested it yet.
Any and all suggestions are most definitely welcome!

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

Mmm, red Brainstorm. I like it! I also like the draw package, so I'll try that alongside Teferi's Puzzle Box.

Have you considered the mine draw package (Howling Mine, Font of Mythos, and Mikokoro, Center of the Sea)? It helps opponents, but it can get you to your combo faster and, since you are playing red, can use the damage=handsize cards like Vicious Shadows, Gaze of Adamaro, Runeflare Trap, and Sudden Impact. Many are also instants, so you can use the Spellbinder with them, too.
