Been working with BUG lists since Vorosh was my only option about 5 years ago. Now that I've got the Mimeo I feel the lists have found more focus. There are so many different ways to build in this color combination but after alot of lists I think I found my favorite. The focus of the deck is to grind out the opponent enough to stick something devastating without much resistance. There is alot of access to disruption and card advantage in this colors and sticking something like a Griselbrand or Terastadon or lethal Putrefax on your Mimeo shouldn't be too difficult after Raven's Criming away their hand. Anyways here is the list I played recently to a second place finish along with explanations of card choices. Also, I try to play the most versatile disruption I can to avoid having dead cards because if every card matters its going to be alot harder for them to put up resistance.
Removal: 14
Engineered Explosives: Good against aggressive decks and swords, also in here because its recurrable with Academy Ruins.
Nature's Claim
Far//Away
Oath of Druids: Not a key focus of the deck. This just generates value against creature decks. Often kills generalss by making a clone as well.
Chainer's Edict: Flashback is more relevant than instant speed in this deck.
Go for the Throat: I've been dissapointed with spot removal lately and this had proven to be worse than the rest. May replace with Black Sun's Zenith.d
Victim of Night: Kills ~everything
Abrupt Decay: Great for beating RIP from Zur if they have it in hand, swords from Geist and is just solid.
Phyrexian Metamorph: Clutch with Academy Ruins or Volrath's Stronghold.
Beast Within: Giving them a guy usually isnt relevant or fuels oath.
Krosan Grip
Liliana of the Veil: Removal and disruption and a discard outlet. What more could you ask for?
Maelstrom Pulse
Into The Roil
Damnation
Disruption: 9
Nihil Spellbomb: Obligatory GY hate. Trinket Mage Target. Recurrable.
Thoughtseize
Raven's Crime: This and Loam should be able to end most games.
Duress
Inquisition of Kozilek
Mana Leak: This and counterspell are the two most flexible counterspells and are the only two I will run for now.
Counterspell
Hymn to Tourach
Vendillion Clique
Recursion: 8
Reanimate: Reanimation spells can spell quick wins with Entomb. I decided to run three that could also reanimate my opponents creatures
Animate Dead
Regrowth: With low cost disruptive spells this proved quite useful.
Snapcaster Mage
Life from the Loam: Often times your engine and what you are likely to tutor for to grind them out with cycle lands, Liliana etc. And it fills the yard.
Necromancy
Yawgmoth's Will: Too good even when it just gets you a fetch and a thoughtseize or a duress. Great amounts of card advantage.
Eternal Witness
Tutors: 9
Expedition Map: Mainly for your recursion lands but in a pinch finds Wasteland Cavern or a cycle land.
Entomb: Can fetch Loam or does the normal reanimation stuff.
Mystical Tutor
Demonic Tutor
Tainted Pact: Provides a kill with lab maniac!
Intuition: Often will get Loam Ravens Crime and a cycle land.
Buried Alive: With Volrath's Stronghold in play this and the other similar tutors are just insane.
Trinket Mage: Can get removal in Engineered Explosives, Nihil spellbomb, or accelleration with LED.
Jarad's Orders: Often buries a fatty and puts a Vendillion Clique in hand to set up a Mimeo Kill.
Card Advantage/Dig: 13
Ancestral Visions
Gitaxian Probe: Coast is clear?
Ponder
Preordain
Brainstorm
Dark Confidant
Sylvan Library
Compulsive Research
Thirst for Knowledge
Phyrexian Arena
Fact or Fiction
Jace, the Minsculptor
Temporal Mastery
Threats: 4
Laboratory MAniac: This is my cute slot. I give myself 1 "fun" card in every deck.
Putrefax: The 1 hit KO. Its not too hard to clear the way for this guy.
Terastadon
Griselbrand
Acceleration: 2
Lion's Eye Diamond: The key to your fast kills which are rare but do happen. Also just is insane with Yawg Will. Trinket mage can find this to set up kills.
Deathrite Shaman: Not as good in this deck since I dont care as much about life. Will likely be cut for Sakashima's Student.
Land: 40
Academy Ruins: Crucial
Volrath's Stronghold: Your Late game plan should the game go too long. You will likely always have more business.
Cavern of Souls: An easy MimeoGriselbrand set should spell game vs most blue control type decks.
Wasteland: No fastbond to Loam Wasteland lock people but this still can do work on them
Barren Moor
Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
Bojuka Bog: FREE GY hate.
Swamp
Snow-Covered Swamp
Vault of Whispers: The only land trinket mage can find.
Tranquil Thicket
Forest
Snow-Covered Forest
Tolaria West
Lonely Sandbar
Snow-Covered Island
Cephalid Colisseum: This is a great way to turn those midgame duds into gas or pitch excess land from loam.

I am open to any and all suggestions. Also if you recommend a card please help me by suggesting a cut so I can try it out I will try and keep this as up to date as possible
Changelog 4/18
- Victim of Night
- Nihil Spellbomb
- Vault of Whispers
- Thirst for Knowledge
+ Sylvan Scrying
+ Miscalculation
+ Evasive Action
+ Black Sun's Zenith
Plan on cutting:
Deathrite Shaman: Only 1 highly relevant ability. Very lackluster to Oath into.
Go for the Throat: I'm slowly skimping on spot removal as it has been rather mediocre in our metagame. Edicts combined with sweepers if possible just do it better overall.
Krosan Grip: Maybe I had too much Zur/RIP fear. I have plenty of answers to these problems and might prefer to get some more value out of my cards.
Cards I am looking to add:
Muddle the Mixture: Has alot of hits including simply a tainted pact which can combine with a recursion spell for a lab maniac win. In the late game it helps force through key spells.
Shadow of Doubt: This card has been insanely impressive. Huge tempo swings on fetchlands, countering tutors, and fogging Zur are some of its best modes. A value cantrip that counters key cards.
Sakashima's Student: Another Clone effect for killing generals especially U/W/x ones. Oathing into this is fine if not awesome as killing their general usually puts you pretty far ahead.
Black Sun's Zenith: One of the few good board sweepers, helpful against Geist and may be necessary to help against Animar just a little.
Utopia Sprawl: A "mana elf" likely to replace Deathrite. Provides me a 1 mana accell without the burden of being a creature.
I won our last tournament with some minor adjustments. I took out the deathrite and trinket Mage for a shadow of doubt and remand which were both very strong. For this month I think I will be cutting victim of night nihil spell bomb and thirst for knowledge for evasive action miscalculation and black suns zenith. The extra counterspells should help buy some more time. The black sun zenith should also provide an extra sweepers for decks like animar and talrand.
There are small recaps in the JS anime tournament reports and I got first and second in the last two. I did beat talrand karador momir Geist sliver queen and animar in the last one. The one before I lost to Geist in a close finals
nice
if you're working on dredge and need an alternate to fastbond, use manabond instead
It's not a very dredge centric list. It's more of a control deck with a combo kill and very fast and out of nowhere inevitability. I wouldn't want to be discarding my hand unless I was killing my opponent that turn ie lions eye
Temporal mastery likely cut for toxic deluge. Any opinions on Hero's downfall in control/combo decks such as this? It should be nice to have another out to the mind sculptor.
