Tobias Andrion is a sad, lonely man. This sepia-toned Santa Claus has haunted my dreams since I was a kid and I always wanted to breath life into that inky visage scrawled across that faded parchment. Of course, as a card, Tobias Andrion sucks, but as a man? Well, we're talking about "the military right arm of the empire and the figurehead of its freedom." According to his Salvation Wiki (and I have no idea where this backstory comes from), Tobias was a key military strategist of the Sheoltun Empire and cleansed the Spice Isles of pirates. This man kicked some serious ass.
On the EDH Commander database, I found only one proposed deck for poor Tobias. The database deck highlights Tobias Andrion's oracled "advisor" subtype, choosing to let him command a congress of sniveling bureaucrats. It utilized control-deck synergy found in WU, but what about Tobias' military background? What about his seasoned tactics that allowed him to wipe out an entire population of pirates? Don't forget WU are also an artificer's favorite colors, and I'm sure Tobias conferred with a million Archimedes-equivelants to utilize various types of war machines in his battles. So for my deck I chose to combine both his administrative status as well as his position as military tactician, highlighted through artificer synergy.
Cards I'm not sure about: Psychic Possession, Kami of the Crescent Moon, and Gaze of Justice - the latter is just a place holder right now, I'm aware that I don't have enough white creatures to make it a plausible card.
Right now I have cleansing included as a late game mana base sweeper, since I think, between Rasputin, Apprentice Wizard, and a few mana rocks, I should have enough to stay afloat after a land loss, especially if I stick an artifact land into Prototype Portal. But it too, is just a placeholder. Also, am I right in thinking Dream Fighter phases out before he takes combat damage, thus not dying when he blocks?
Also, is it ever a good idea to run Braids, Conjurer Adept in EDH? I just... think she's a cutie.
EDITS:
Gaze of Justice<>Swords to Plowshares,
Kami of the Crescent Moon<>Odric, Master Tactician,
took out Psychic Possession and a land, added Platinum Emperion and Summoner's Egg, figured the egg could be useful with Arcum too,

Y'know, there's one in my LGS's common box. I've yet to pick him up (A dime is a lot for that crap), but I may do so just to be able to say "sepia-toned Santa Claus".

Gaze of justice... Probably should be Swords to Plowshares. It's like... honorable discharge or something. With a life pension. Damn, that's cool flavor.

Aye, Dream Fighter phases as blockers are declared, before damage.

Right! Sword to Plowshares it is then. Thanks. And yeah, I just never know when Braids is useful unless I have a full lockdown of the board.

Not really, but y'know, I'll give you the second point.
Overall, I dig the flavor. I may even buy that Tobias now.
