Been looking to make myself a nice mono deck, but I've been waiting until I found the right general to do so. Thalia, Guardian of Thraben is exactly who I was waiting for. Cheap to cast, relevant abilities, and she holds an equipment like a champ, plus her ability makes removal just a little bit harder to use.
Looking to make this a Soldier tribal deck, but let me know if there's any white goodstuff I'm missing. I also want to cut down on the Creatures, so opinions are welcome
The equipment in the deck atm are missing 5 key pieces, as you might have noticed. The 5 are just a little outside of my budget range atm, but I've started trying to trade for them. Will add them when I get them.
Ever consider Mirror Entity for this list since it's a great beat stick and turns all your dudes into shapeshifters along with a nice power boost and a finisher for a alpha strike
It being Mono white though you don't need a lot of fancy lands, sure Emeria is ok and all, that should stay in for sure, Steppe, Remote farm can go in favor of more plains honestly your plains count is way too low, also no Sun Titan, say what
I'm worried that the deck is lacking wincons. Are there any obvious equipment choices I'm missing if I wanted to include a Voltron subtheme, or should that be a different commander entirely?
Puresteel Paladin seems super relevant here. I used to play an equipment deck with Sygg, River Guide as my general, and I loved having Puresteel for things like Argentum Armor and Piston Sledge. (Which is a very good equipment in EDH, despite its equip cost. You can basically play your general early and get some very early beats in.)
It's unfortunate you're not playing UW, 'cause there are some other really fun things that can fish out relevant equipments. Fabricate and Tezzeret the Seeker, etc.
