Well since my favorite creature has now been banned... (RIP Prime Time). I need to make adjustments. Figured that ramp was good with Primeval but really fetching the cradle and temple is what I would always do. Primeval's replacement is Scapeshift and I am looking for more card draw now so I replaced Mikeus with Collective Unconscious. I am still debating Rampaging Baloth since now he is weaker but I am having a hard time parting with that guy since he is like Primevals little brother to me lol...
Well this entire deck is going to have to be reworked... never really noticed how Primeval really made the deck consistent but even just simply switching Scapeshift for Prime Time wasn't enough...
Elesh Norn - Will probably have to come out. Now without Primeval being the Bribery Target Elesh is the next go too.
Rampaging Baloth - Not enough lands to trigger this.
Oracle - Again not enough lands to make a difference. Need another form of ramp and probably play more lands.
AoZ - Pretty much the same thing... not enough lands.
So the theme of what I am lacking here is not enough lands on top of that the lands I need. As competitive and my playgroup is Primeval IMO was needed here to keep up with all the control decks I play against. I purposely was careful not to add all the combo pieces because the way I wanted to play the deck was just spit out a crap load of tokens and just overwhelm my opponent but I need mana to do it. So going to go all out combo with this deck and token production as a back up plan... only way I am going to be able to keep up with my playgroup...
I was searching on the gatherer for cards that both you and I can use, as you are pretty much in a similar position to me when it comes to needing land in order to activate the Baloth. Here's some permanent fixes that I've happened upon.
Boundless Realms: Expensive for mana curve, but the benefit of using it is that you pretty much double the amount of land you already have out. Downside is that it only searches your basic lands. It's still good for triggering landfall multiple times.
Collective Voyage: This is another one of those search your deck for basic lands, but the downside is that it also benefits your opponents too. Of course, the other plus side is that you get to search for as much as everyone has paid. New Frontiers I think is the basis for this card, but without the benefit of everyone paying mana.
Elfhame Sanctuary: Unlike the two sorceries, I think this is a good as you can get for being able to trigger landfall consistently. Of course, it requires you to sacrifice drawing a card, but worth it for a 4/4 beast.
Centaur Druid: A creature with a repeatable landfall trigger ability if you consistently deal damage to a player with it, of course only for basic lands.
One with Nature: An aura that makes any creature a Centaur Druid.
Weathered Wayfarer: A repeatable 1 drop white creature that for 1 mana and tapping it, allows you to search your library for any land card and put it into your hand. Useful if you are missing land drops and you don't have to sacrifice your useful lands for basics with the other cards.
Of course, we can't forget about fetchlands such as Naya Panorama, Bant Panorama, Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds, all of which count for a land drop and bring in an additional land drop as a sacrifice.
The very final thing I can suggest is adding Ruin Ghost. As a two drop, it's not exactly strong, but for the ability to tap it for 1 white, you can take advantage of a land already out on the field, and trigger land fall by blinking it.
These are all that I could find that would be strong enough to give you what you might want if you feel like you need to hold on to the Baloth.
