MTG Salvation

I would like some help fine tuning my Glissa EDH deck. I've designed it to use Glissa as a powerhouse threat. The horde of equipments in the deck make her big and powerful so that when she attacks the opponent is forced to choose between two evils: Take general damage (and in some cases poison), or block and trigger her ability. Since 40% of the deck is composed of artifacts, triggering her ability lets me grab almost any card from my graveyard. Upon counting I also noticed that the current decklist is short 1 card, so any suggestions that don't break the bank would be greatly appreciated!

i don't see you needing alot of those artifacts, like grappling hook, throne of geth, or the spellbombs. honestly I would add better artifacts like sol ring, mana crypt, mana vault, guildedd lotus, ect more mana excelleracters other then everflowing chalice. they are a bit on the expensive side but they are commander staplesss.

also more creatures would be great to see in this deck, you can't just run off of 12 creatures otherwise your deck will get crushed by decks like Khali, Kresh, Horde of Nationss, ect

your spells need a bit of work too on the choice. Spells like Damnation, Genisis wave, and worldly tutor could help your deck out alot.

also I saw you win by poison sometimes, it imght be best to take those poison cards out considering you only have glissa, and the arcbound crusher as your main means of damage and instead just go for generaal or the 40 damage needed to win the game

I am going out on a limb as saying your building with what is availbe to you, which is great. te best advice I could give those is find someone in your area who has alot of older cards, and see if you could trade for sooome older and more powerful green, black, and artifact spells. it might be hard to so since most guys dont trade for newer stuff but it would be the biggest benifiet you could do for your deck.

I hopefully have been helpful in someway, if any of this sounded mean I didn't mean too just giving the best advice I can.

Actually grappling hook is excellent with Glissa because I can either deal 2x damage or force my opponent to lose a creature to her deathtouch thereby triggering her ability. Throne of gheth is used to proliferate the planeswalkers, poison counters, and the blade of the bloodchief I forgot to add. It's also useful for destroying the spine of Ish sah.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm planning on getting another commander deck (Ghave or Khalia) to stock up on some more staples and to get some of the goodies inside. Besides that you were right that I was building with I had available. I traded for most of the equipment that make Glissa a threat. I'll definitely start looking for a genesis wave and damnation. Got any other suggestions?

wurmcoil engine its simply too good of an artifact not to add into your deck, plus it counts toward your creatures

sculpting steel, copies any artifact on the field so you could copy something of your opponents side, and on yours. it could copy a artifact creature too and help you out in the long run

Sheoldred, Whispering One she is a black creature that causes your opponent to sac a creature, and you to bring back one from the dead again helps with wurmcoil

living end, and living death could help recure your creatures while clearing the field a bit too

Thanks for the suggestions artifactking. I added Sheoldred, but wasn't comfortable with living death until I had more creatures. Now it looks like I have enough creatures to consider it now that I've updated the decklist with some cards from my Jhoria EDH (Sol Ring for example) and other's I found in a hidden binder.

Finally in writing this post I've noticed that the mana base seems low at 34 lands + 3 mana generators. Additionally I think I'll be removing Tainted Strike and Grafted Exoskeleton next. What do you think I should swap out?

P.S. I plan on getting a Gilded Lotus and a Wurmcoil Engine in the near future.

Hey man cool list, welcome to the forums. I've tinkered with a Glissa list as well and here are my suggestions:

Less equipment, more creatures (great sable stag is a good one that you already have, also try the mana dorks (llanowar elves, fyndhorn elves, elves of deep shadow) - they all enable a turn 2 Glissa which is strong.

Triangle of War works great with glissa - similar to executioner's capsule. I'd definitely run it.

Ulvenwald Tracker also plays nice with Glissa.

More planeswalkers. Glissa is a house on defense. Garruk wildspeaker and Garruk Relentless could both make it in there. Liliana 2.0 also but that may be high on the budget :).

There's a common artifact equipment in Mirrodin that shines like gold in Glissa's hand: fetch a Viridian Longbow and find a slot in the deck

Wrong: "fight" as a keyword negates first strike, you will put Glissa in a dangerous spot if you target her with the Tracker.
