I realize how bad the state of clan-related articles are about half a week ago, and thought I'd try to establish some order and structure to Clans- and clan-related articles.
Currently such articles are in the state they were previously; without structure, without order, without order; anything went.
Right now, this is an open discussion for brainstorming what you think should be on these pages, what sections/headers are appropriate, and really, anything goes here (as opposed to on MTGS Wiki).
Currently, the closest pages to exemplars are [499]'s article entry (at "499") and any recently created entries (e.g. "Planar Chaos (clan)") that, in terms of content and historical accuracy, tower over older, more renowned clans.
In the words of others before me, "Go."
Edit:
Issues for discussion, in addition to any others:
Friends lists
Section headers: names; also, in concurrence with other issue "friends lists"
Thread listing
Content; what exactly is acceptable?
My stance:
Friends list: Cull (lazy way); or, shorten/use columns (not-so-lazy way).
Section headers: Some are simply not descriptive enough. Some articles don't even have any sense of structure and have no headers. Also, "Members lists", "Members", "Other members", "Clan leader", "Clan founder", "Leader", "Founder", etc. What's needed is a standardized list of guideline headers for memberlistings.
Thread listing: Advised and advocated.
Content: A neutral, no-point-of-view, and succinct, yet detailed summary of a clan's purpose, history (up's and down's; everything), and doesn't blatantly advertise.
I can provide a short history of [MTGS Brigade], which doesn't seem to be listed, if you want. But yeah, looking through some of the pages, they are... very out of date. I agree with you that Planar Chaos has a pretty good page layout. Many of the clans have banners at the top of the first post, too, though, and those would be nice to include in the page, if they have one and it doesn't take too much time.
Unfortunately, I don't have the time to go and edit things myself, or I would. I am atrociously busy.
Understood, and 100% okay with me, Mr. Stuff. I'll create the MTGS Brigade page and edit in the basics, as well as list it elsewhere.
Ah, yes, clan banners; important, but not essential. In an effort to standardize the image quality as well as the size, restrictions should be made pre-sizing on the wiki, but again, this is a issue for later.
Anyhow, thanks for your offer, Mr. Stuff. Rest assured, it's much appreciated.
Edit: It's up here.
You can share the work between your clan members, make it a weekly collaborative effort, or something.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

This is Deraxas we're talking about.
Remember, the girl that just killed an aspect of herself before literally consuming her?
Yeah, I don't see her handling a pissing match in any way other than a duel.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.
I tried to be neutral in mine- yes, we were spamming up the forum, something I kept berating myself for, and finally got to do it legally.
So, it's a good thing
It's all right.
And yes, a good thing, indeed.

I've created the following template (Template:Former clans) that inserts a category; the problem is, what should that category be?
See, I can move the template and such, but I can't move the category, expecting it to be fine and all; thus, I have to get the category right the first time, the only time.
Should it be "former clans"; "defunct clans"; "retired clans"; what clans?
Pipe in, thanks.

Questions:
*Must it be "FUZZY FURRY FREAKY BATALLION", all in capitals? Yes, and Battallion is misspelt; perhaps intentional?
*The ImageCrafters vs. The Imagecrafters vs. Imagecrafters vs. ImageCrafters? The ImageCrafters.
*The Brits vs. Brits? The Brits.
*"The" vs. "no-The"? Depends.
*Guild clans; what are their proper names? Got 'em; most.
I updated the ARD page, changing the list of members so it is up-to-date.
EDIT: and added a link to the current thread.
While it's great, do you think you could provide invaluable information to, say, the clan's history?
In a couple of months, let's assume the most tragic thing in the world were to happen to the clan - that is, it were to close - and months later, what would be its legacy, if any? And hence, we document significant happenstances and events.
Well, I'll talk to the other members and try to keep it as up-to date as possible. I don't really know a lot of the stuff, but now it's a lot less dusty than it was before. I'll ask.
I have a question about this. I am currently working on Clan MonoBlack's history, and it is almost done. My only question is to submit it for the wiki page, what all do I need to do?
Also, I hope this isnt necroing since its an on going project. If it is, I apologize
How long does you clan have had to be around before making a page. Our clan has been around for just over a month but we're almost on our second clan thread. I think it would be easier to start a page now and just keep it updated.

1. "Edit page", or whatever it's called.
2. Copy-paste.
3. "Save page".

I added a page for Dragons, but nothing there for information yet.
Great.
What would better the page, I'm guessing, is some information; perhaps clan history, including date of formation, and mmmaybe its members - although anyone can find members by clicking any of the clan's threads, right?

As long as the clan is 'established 'enough''.
A clan (of no value of any sort) could be around for a month, create a gazillion threads.
A clan could also be around forever and still have nothing to show for its existence.
If you need an absolute answer, let's say a month. Whatever.
I post a majority of Clan Mono-Black's wiki page today (the only thing missing is some of our earlier history and our thread's list, which I still have to get around to). My only problem was posting images. I wanted two thumbs of images to show up, but when I did what the wiki edit help said to, they showed up as hyperlinks instead. What did I do wrong?
This is an example of what I did for the thumbs:

The Family's page has been updated.
I also took the liberty of updating the current lists of Clans. The lists should be accurate.
I'll keep in touch.
