I would like to add my voice as one of those that do not wish their wiki pages to be deleted, as I put a lot of time into writing it, and it would be a waste if someone just upped and deleted it. Plus I plan on expanding it soon and don't want to start over from scratch.
ditto what those three guys said. if i had a problem with the wiki page, i'd not have written it in the first place.
is there a way for page updates to be approved (most likely by a sysop at least) before going live, so that people have a chance to know when their bio-pages have been updated?

Now playing Transformers: Legends. 27-time top tier finisher and admin of the TFL Wikia site.
Wouldn't it be easier to just ask people if they want theirs deleted so a bunch of people dont get their pages deleted unnecesserily?
I wholeheartedly endorse this product and/or service. I think a site-wide announcement of a process for requesting deletion of a personal wiki article is far, far better than whacking all the biographical content at once.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):

IAWTC.
In any case, many users don't have a reasonable amount of notability...

I do, yet my Wiki entry is strictly about my modship (I'd love to hear the explanation for that one >.>). So, really, I don't even care about the project (or this dilemma) all that much.

Okay, I need my wiki page scrubbed a bit. A large amount of the information on there is about my personal life (education etc.) which I have not discussed on this website, or any website on which I go by the moniker "Xyre". Linking to my ****ing facebook is just bad taste; I didn't even know you people could access my facebook page.
I'm fine with the information contained in the section "Online Activity". My relationship with KCW in real life is public and fine, and that's included sufficiently in there. Linking to extraneous things like my facebook page, old blogs, and ****ing math awards from the past is not, and neither is posting a photo of me. This is NOT public information I want out, especially seeing as the wiki is the 7th hit on google for my name.
Or just delete the page. That would be quite satisfactory.
I know what you mean. Someone from my class dredged up pictures of me and was spreading them around. Pictures that didn't exactly put me in a positive light (AKA fugly). The source turned out to be here. Those pictures were not distributed with my consent, nor did I want them on my Wiki page.

Hey kids! Don't like rules? Tired of having your lulz censored by terrible, terrible people called "moderators"? Big fan of metal? Check out Metaln☺☺☺☺! This is probably the worst possible forum to advertise it on!
Added bonus: we're holding a songwriting contest in march with a registry drive going on right now! Check it out, plus the opportunity to earn $50!
@The Cadet, and others: Oh, please; stop posting ITT. It's dead.
If you guys have requests or whatever, please message - you know, discretion's great for you and I.
Hey, how come zesty234 doesn't have a wiki entry?!
I demand one!
..pretty please?
I think he's contributed enough so far. He finally deserves recognition. (hell, he was nominated rookie of the year!)
Done.
When I get back, I'll consider purging each and every biography.
Cool; I hope you had great fun.
Similarly.
I used to.
Anyhow, see you all
inwhenever. My bad with what I've done, being a precedent and all, (perhaps).

And if I've offended you, I'm sorry, but maybe you need to be offended. But here's my apology and one more thing...

Feel free to use it as an advertising medium for whatever now.
Okay.
Cool.
Perhaps.
Right now, watchfulness.
Bah.
Maybe.

You mean it isn't notorious by now?
No offense, Shin. But at least some discussion about your articles should be on the wiki.

Heh, I suppose.
Yeah...according to the Wiki, I'm not even a writer.

If I were that, I'd have no need for any other, now would I?Carry on, as you may wish; or, let this be what it shall be (if it's not already that), a flop?

Yeah.

Jah, 'k.
Indeed; or, perhaps.
Is zesty234 actually real? I'm still so confused.
